It's snowing here now. My puppies are so excited! They love to run out and play in it and then come inside and jump on my bed to get warm and dry under the covers!

We are having the same thing right now. I am hoping it doesn't last too long. there is a nice sheen on all the surface road but the trees and bushes haven't gotten covered yet. That's when it gets scary.

We are getting our first snowstorm overnight. It just started

We are right in the middle of our first winter storm warning and I love it!

We've already had a few storms this year and tonight is no different. Just when it looks like it will all melt away another front comes in. At this rate I'll never get the leaves raked

DH didn't even wear a coat while we were out!

We have 6 inches of wet snow- and are under a winter storm warning until tomorrow noon. It is beautiful-especially with the Christmas lights.

EXCEPT that DH had to drive DD20 up to Ohare in the mess (2.5 hours north)....and her plane is delayed over 4 hours- looks like she might spend the night in the airport. We can't really drive back up again to pick her up, and I guess she is old enough to deal with it (she seems fine, irritated, but fine).....but.....hopefully she will get out. She is scheduled to leave in an hour after 11 different delays. THEN she must drive an hour from the airport and Rochester NY is under a freezing rain warning......and while writing this her flight was delayed an additional 1/2 hour.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers....I am just a basket case over this. You know, it was EASIER when they were 2!

We almost NEVER get snow. DH is like a little child when he gets to play in it. If the forcast has snow within 100 miles....he wants to go on a road trip!! I have had one White Christmas in my lifetime! and that's a pretty long time.

This was our only snowfall last season. It only lasted half a day but, we were able to get a few good pictures.

But it simply isn't possible for anyone to HATE winter more than I do and I cannot celebrate it in any way, shape or form. "Hate" isn't even strong enough...neither is "detest." I don't think there is a word bad enough to describe my feelings about winter.

You know what? If I had to go out in it every day, I would feel exactly the same way you do..

Luckily I don't - so I have the luxury of being excited about it.
