Is the non-rotation MDR menu Pirates? On which port day did it occur (Or Sea Day)?

I saw the old pirates menu in the vlogs too. I think each restaurant uses their menu once and the restaurant you repeat is the one serving the pirate menu. During that dinner there is a pirates dinner show. None of the vlogs mentioned a formal night (in terms of dressing up or menu) so I'm guessing pirates is the only themed dinner.

So does this mean that they had Pirate themed night? Or just that menu at dinner?

On our 8/9 cruise the night of the pirate menu we had some pirates come into dinner and do a little song and dance show. Some guests were dressed in theme others were not. We also got bandanas at dinner and chocolate coins on our bed.

I have a shirt with skull and cross bones on it that I was debating wearing as I really didn't know. DH had to go to guest services around first dinner time and he came back telling me he saw plenty of "pirates" roaming around. I wore the shirt...got to dinner and not 1 person in sight had any pirate attire on. I was so embarrassed! :rotfl: Thank goodness they gave out bandanas so that helped some.

Thanks! We dressed up for pirate night on our last two cruises so was debating whether to pack the items for our late September Fantasy. Guess I will keep an eye on the trip reports for the ones before ours.

In my experience, as long as you look good, people don't think you're wierd for being the "only" one dressed up. Instead, they compliment how good you look and your sense of fun and boldness in your sartorial choices.

My friend once wore a full face of skeletal makeup to the Grand Floridian for tea and people fawned over her makeup skills. Most people understood that we were dressed for MNSSHP but since that doesn't take place inside the GF we were the only people dressed for that event. My makeup wasn't nearly as fancy so I just got compliments on my themed dress. 👗

If you want to be more subtle you can Disneybound like Smee or Captain Hook. If you don't want to wear pirate type clothes you can always copy the makeup of a Disney pirate like Jack Sparrow or Uma.

People were definitely dressed up throughout the ship. We were just in a little corner of Animators Palate where I could see 12 tables and no one in my line of vision was dressed up. There were also no kids at any of those 12 tables so that might have something to do with it.
