I would advise checking the CCI for the best rate you can find (also look for any discounts that apply, e.g. AAA, military, DLR AP, etc.), then booking it to be safe. You can always cancel it later without penalty. If you decide to visit again within a year, CCI gives a return guest discount that can be stacked on top of any other discount you use. We've never had a bad stay there, and the staff is super nice. CCI has saved us hundreds of dollars per night over the on site hotels for each stay.
Also, be watching for the MHP dates announcement. (It will be BIG news around here!) Party dates do sell out, and Friday dates tend to go pretty quickly, so be prepared to get your ticket by July/August. The first few parties will start selling out, then -- whoosh! -- the other party dates will start selling out before you know it. Being prepared helps. Even if this Halloween doesn't work out, at least by watching how things go, you'll be prepared and know the ropes for next year.
