2019 March 2-5 and Sept 18-21 Planning

We have had a trip planned for Sept 2019 staying at WBC and adding 3 nights prior on site. we've done this in the past and loved it. We get a few park days in before moving to WBC and then a few more days in while also enjoying down days at WBC. We just recently booked another trip in late february and I am considering adding dates at the end of that trip to stay on site for a few days. The late feb/early march trip is with some friends and they aren't as into WDW as we are. My thought was, they head to airport and we head to onsite property and have 3 nights just me, hubby and 12yr daughter. Since this is the first time we will be going 2 times in 1 year, i've been considering an AP, even just one for myself and then buying there tickets. Trying to decide if this would be worth it. likely 8 park days and a MNSSHP total for both trips. I know theres a disocunt on parking. and I've read about AP hotel disocunts. Just not sure it will be worth it. Also if I book the hotel via disney and then tickets via undercover tourist, and buy says 8 day passes, can i use the first few days in march and then wait and use the rest in sept ?? Thanks for any helps, tips or ideas

Sorry, no, you can’t save unused days. All tickets, except APs, expire 14 days after they are first used. Disney used to have unexpiring tickets, but that changed several years ago. I think the break even point for an AP is about 8 days. So depending how many in park days you plan in Sept, the AP might make sense for everyone. But it would probably make sense to get at least 1, for all the discounts, parking & memory maker photos.

Thank you!! great to know that they expire. I will calculate the total cost for each set of tickets vs AP. Now to decide about renting DVC or just booking thru disney standard rooms and waiting for discounts.....hmmmmm So many decisions
