Haha well I guess I should switch my HM outfit to the 10K now! I'm glad Merida is a race outfit I was already planning on wearing, but I already ran as Snow White for the 2015 PHM, so I'm wondering if I should do it again or switch it up.

The weather finally broke, so out the door for 9 miles! I have a bit of a cold and a dry cough, thought that the cough could be from running so much heat and lack of humidity. I got to 8 and walked mile 9. My body was spent...took a shower and a two hour nap, just feel horrible, but it is done.

Hi, guys! This is my first half and I am not a runner at all HAHA so I'm nervous. I'm pretty slow but as long as my mental state allows me to keep running, I think I can do it. My question is to those who ran in before... who are the characters we are likely to see?! I've only ran the 2013 ToT 10-miler and they had a character every mile. I would love to stop for all but then I would never finish!

P.S.: I've decided to go as Moana!

Some are PhotoPass, one (with the castle in the background) was an annoyed (but nice) custodial CM...the others were CM character attendants.

So I’ve been feeling like I’m not releasing the lactic acid from my left leg after workouts. Its getting difficult. I mentioned it to a friend and today he brought me Sports Legs supplement.

I took it before our Pilates class then afterwards did the 4 miles with MM run from last weekend. Felt GREAT for two miles. Then I hated life the last two. Oops. So it worked, but I didn’t handle it mentally lol. Gotta pace myself.

I’ve got to get new shoes soon, need to make some acupuncture appts, maybe find someone to prescribe me an inhaler for exercise induced asthma (I’ve been doing great and ran out a couple months ago, but a race is scary to mess with), maybe get some massages...and hopefully lose some of this weight I packed on after weight watchers betrayed me a few years ago and the injuries began.

@Ariel484 - I LOVED reading your recap. I missed the 2017 PHM (we opted for W&D instead), and this just got me so pumped. I need to purchase MM now, because this is an extended trip for us, so I want ALL the pictures, lol. And that finisher pic with you high-fiving Donald is totally frameable.

She was working but people had been asking her to take pictures for them when I showed up. I can't remember exactly what she said when I handed her my phone to take my picture, but it was something along the lines of "I need to get back to work!" But she still took the picture for me! Thanks CM!

Yes, Memory Maker includes your race photos! They have on-course photographers that will take "action shots" of you while you are running, and there are photographers at other spots as well (character stops and usually one in front of the castle). I've run into instances where there weren't photographers at the characters so I always take my phone with me for pictures just in case!

Thanks!! This was my first PHM since 2011 and while it has changed a lot since then, I really had a lot of fun! I love that Donald photo, definitely one of my favorites!!

I have been so impressed with the quality of the on-course pictures from PhotoPass, they are SO much better (and a better deal) than MarathonFoto!

I'm signed up for the SWDS virtual half marathon. I'm hoping they do something like that for Tinkerbell so I can get the pink C2C medal. I was finally planning on doing Tink this year until they announced that all DL races were cancelled for 2018. Super bummed about that.
