2017 Southern Caribbean 11-Night on Fantasy ...

Is there anyone on this cruise currently? I understand that there is some stormy weather in the southern carribean and wanted to see how folks were holding up!

We're currently on our way to Barbados and the ship is rocking. Overall, it's been a rougher sailing than most but haven't been seriously impacted by it other than it's constantly spraying up to our Deck 6 balcony, making it too wet to sit outside on it.

Ouch, sorry to hear! How bad has the rocking been? If it's rough on deck 6, it's probably going to be measurably worse on decks 11 and 12 -- particularly fore and aft, no?

worse would be relative, at those parts the swaying would be slower but much further, at the bottom/middle of the ship it would be fast but not that far. choose your poison as it were

I would trust that by now things have improved drastically.

We were onboard... The rocking was not really all that bad in our opinion. The captain changed the route from Aruba to Barbados a little by cruising south of Curacao, Bonaire, and Trinidad and Tobago. That took us out of the heavy seas. We were no more than 15 nm from the Venezuelan coast at various points. All in all... a great trip!
