2017 dates? UPDATE!!!!! April 20, 2017

Does "repeat members" include those that have an adventure booked, but have not yet departed - or only those that have actually departed and returned? Our first ABD is set for Aug 13 of this year. Would I be able to book on the 20th, or have to wait until the 22nd?

I believe you have to have completed your first trip with ABD to qualify as "repeat guests".

We are 'repeat guests' as we are doing our second trip in September (provided it goes) but we don't get the same perks as most repeat guests since we're Canadian.

Cinderella's Slipper is correct. At least in the past, it has meant you've completed your first ABD.

I would call ABD and verify. Kevin said it's for Guests who have traveled with ABD. Not Adventure Insiders. You definitely qualify as the former.

I'm not planning on booking anything, would just like to see what's being offered. We're already booked with another tour company for next year.

I want to say that last year I was given the opportunity to early book despite the fact that we had not actually departed on our first ABD. However, last year, the dates came out much later (not until June, IIRC), which means we would have been within a couple of days of leaving for our first ABD. And we were paid-in-full.

Updated to confirm...last year's release date was June 9. We departed on our first ABD on June 11. I did receive the email to book one day early as an "insider" but opted not to (I had no issues getting the 2016 trip I wanted at the opening-day price at the end of June, after we returned from our first ABD).

I got a card today from ABD announcing the April 20th & 21st dates for booking for 2017. It doesn't say anything about any other benefit besides being able to book earlier than the general public. I wonder if there's going to be any sort of booking reward for past Guests. Guess we'll see in a little over a week.

Are you booking an ABD for next year?

I called and asked about new destinations. The vacationista said she didn't have that info. :(

I'm dying for new destinations.

I doubt she could tell you even if she did have the information. The announcement isn't until the 20th, and they'd likely get in trouble for leaking info before then.

Doubtful of that Sayhello. A vaccationista told me about the new destinations from Feb. And it was further in advance.

We are thinking Backstage Magic Southern California if the dates work out. That said, we are also seriously considering Italy. We are also hoping that they have figured out how to offer a Japan trip that wouldn't break the bank. I read somewhere once that ABD hasn't put it on the list of offerings because it wouldn't be cost effective. Considering the current pricing that makes me shudder LOL I don't exactly have high hopes for that though as I imagine they would have done a FB teaser like they did for Scotland by now. We are also hoping DCL has decided to do Japan and waiting on their release date for 2017 too. Wishful thinking :-)

These are the two we are looking into, too!

Yes, I was told that about Japan by someone who works for ABD. Something to the effect that they couldn't come up with a trip that would be worth what they'd have to charge.

I've recently heard the same thing from someone with ABD. I don't have too much hope for a Japan trip in the short term.

Maybe one day...

We just came off the Fantasy last week and while we were sitting at the Future Cruise Sales desk, the cruise director came by and we chatted with him and the future sales crew member. They both readily admitted that they did not have any inside info and that the internet usually knows things before they do, but when we talked about where the future ships might go, there was speculation around the "Asia Pacific" market. Saying that it is one of the fastest growing segments and then comment also was made that DCL had started hiring more crew members from China and Taiwan to have trained crew members from these regions - that was something I noticed as well. Maybe one day we will see DCL in these markets ... sounds like they are at least thinking about it.

ABD quietly announced cruise packages today for 2017....Also, if you have completed 2 or more ABDs you do receive a small discount per person.
