2016 project completion?

We skipped WDW in 2015 for the first time in a long time so I am not super up to date on what is going on with all the new projects and upgrades around the parks. We are doing DCL in Oct and I am trying to decide how many post cruise wDw days we need. What all will be completed this year by early fall? Anything? Frozen in Epcot and soarin? Anything at AK? I assume nothing at DHS will be new by then? Our last trip was nov 2014 for reference. Tia!

Epcot should have the new Frozen ride and Soarin' is to reopen "summer."

AK will have Rivers of Light ("spring").

DHS is a construction zone and will remain that way, but may have special events or more things like the current fireworks shows.

Most of the HS tear-up is just beginning.

Pandora at AK is well underway but not projected to open for a while.

Does anyone know what set up for Rivers of Light will be like? Will we need to be in a seat to see show, or will it be visible from a distance.

I understand it is on water near Everest ride.

Also that the Tree of Life transforms for the show.

I already have my passes booked for upcoming spring break trip, with AK in a 1/2 slot at the end.

I am already planning no how I could quickly swap things out if needed. Obviously this would change our half day plan for AK!

Wish they would announce an opening date before we travel. I had planned a full 2 days in Epcot, so could swap that out, w/o causing too much damage to fastpasses.

Would just be nice if something new was open during this trip. We could've almost skipped Disney this year with so many things pending and the HS construction.
