Any chance at all of it happening tomorrow or am I good to go to sleep tonight? Lol

I have to sleep after last night lol. I almost fell asleep on the couch this afternoon. My grandmunchkins in my avatar said "grandma, your heads on me" let l.

Why does it have Magic Kingdom closing at 4:30 the one day?

Is it a party day?

ABD means abdomen in my world.

Yep!! RN for 24 years.

out of curiosity,is this your first time booking a trip?

No, this will be my 5th year in a row booking WDW. I've also booked a Nashville trip this past January (DH and I), DL this past March for the family, and a San Diego in two weeks for my DD (14) and I - a mom/daughter trip.

Is anyone else considering changing dates due to the "rumored" free dining dates?

We have a deposit down at CBR for a 5 person room and have been planning every detail for a trip the week before Thanksgiving. With FD not starting till the 15th and our at home Thanksgiving being important to us I am considering switching to a Nov. 26 check in date. I priced it online and we would not only get FD for the whole stay... we would save a few hundred dollars. I didn't realize resort prices would be lower for that week.

Now I am scratching my head wondering what the downside would be to going on the other side of Thanksgiving. This would even give us a little extra money to maybe spring for MVMCP which we hadn't planned on doing.

I'm in the same boat. I was planning on the week before Thanksgiving (11-12 to 11-19), though I hadn't booked anything yet. That week the kids have a day off of school, which is why I picked it. But the week after Thanksgiving is looking pretty good now. It looks like it might be slower and have more Christmas. Plus, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is supposed to be down for refurb until around the 18th - if we go the week after Tgiving we'd have a better chance of being able to ride it! And you're right, a little cheaper too!

I noticed when I was looking at possible park days for the week of 11/12-11/19, and then looked at doing 11/26-12/3, the week looked pretty much the same, at least when looking at very preliminary crowd calendars at Touring Plans. Looks like Josh will have his crowd calendar up in the next day or two.

I hope he does that crowd calendar soon! I've been impatiently waiting and checking every day! Maybe he was waiting for discounts to be finaliEd as well?

I am in the same situation as well. My flights are cheaper the later week too. More to analyze :)

The last 2 years we had FD and I saved all our receipts and we would not have broken even if we would have paid OoP for our meals, if that make since. It was still an incredible deal because it was better than a RO discount and paying OOP for just a few TS and QS meals. That's why it's so important to calculate it both ways. You would need an idea of what you would order, but all the menu prices are online. We will never pay for the dining plan because we are not adventurous eaters and just wouldn't get our money's worth.

When doing this online you have to make each ressie separate, meaning you can only book one at a time. You could then call in about a week later after the madness dies down and have them link the ressies and request connecting rooms. I did this for our last FD trip, booked 3 rooms then got them all linked later. Unfortunately we didn't get connecting rooms at POR but we were close.

Thanks! I didn't realize you could call and connect them, so that works out. We each have a 2 year old, so wanted connecting rooms just to make it easier if only 1 of the 4 parents comes back to the room with both of them. I know it isn't guaranteed, but hopefully we'll get lucky :)
