I love your handle and pic by the way. I use to watch Young Guns every day when I was a teen; didn't I spend my time wisely? LOL

I'm so excited about the prospect of free dining. This trip of ours is already over the $25K mark so any savings I can make are more than welcome

Haha! Wow this thread blew up overnight! I saw some questions about when it went live last year. There will be a good rumor posted beforehand, don't worry. Listen to The Dirty Steve, he was dead on last year. It was live last year when I checked online at 5am, that was "early" compared to past years. I had no problems booking that early but others that were later that morning I think had more problems with the site being overloaded.

Another ? for those who got up extra early and got online to book FD (like at 4am-ish) were you able to book what you wanted? Such as first choice? Or was it even limited selection that early on?

Last year I logged in at 6am and got CBR for the dates I wanted but had to upgrade to a water view room. However, the next day after the craziness died down I logged in and saw a standard room was available so I modified the reservation and saved my $90!!!

My DH is the same way! LOL I already booked all our dining reservations just not the trip because I like to wait for a discount (hopefully FD!!!) so myDH keeps telling me to stop talking about the trip that doesn't exist yet! haha

If this free dining promotion comes out can it be applied to an existing reservation (staying at beach club oct 1st to oct 8th lagoon view) or would you have to alter your reservation in order to get.???

It will come up with a page and it has "Vacation Offer", "Travel Dates", "Travel Party", "Resort", etc..and then a "change" button next to it. So you click to the change button next to vacation offer and it will list the available offers for your dates and you can choose to apply it.

Thanks-that "change reservation" button makes me nervous, but if I can avoid a 4 hour phone wait...

I was up at 4:30am this morning because last nights FD anticipation had me barely able to sleep. I'll be up at 4:30am everyday now until it's released more than likely in fear that I might miss something lol

It would be interesting if they decided to make any offers available in the middle of the day versus first thing on any anticipated date. This would sure throw everyone off.

We are cruising this year, so no WDW for us. Even if we were doing the parks, we wouldn't do FD, because Disney is so generous with their military discount, that NOTHING is better than that.

Still, I come on and read through the posts every day just for the fun of "listening" to you all.

I just made a bunch of dining reservations last night when Pete Warner posted the rumored dates in case we have to go in September.

For those who don't follow Pete Werner, he posted last night on FB that suspected free dining dates are 8/23-10/1, 11/15-11/21, 11/26-11/28, and 12/10-12/21. NOT confirmed yet.
