Anyone else nervous about tomorrow or am I just being foolish??? :confused3

I'm quite nervous myself. There is only one resort that is an option for us and our dates aren't flexible...

Just checking in! How many of you are planning on staying up all night and how many are setting their alarms throughout the night? I'm going to do my best to stay up through the night. I plan to take a nap later and have some tea on hand for the night. Plus I'll have lots of things to do like watch the new game of thrones! ;)
I'm staying up all night. I'm excited and nervous to sleep.
DD15 and I discussing snacks for tonight. We are thinking brownies as they go splendidly with coffee!
Anyone else have food planned?
Lots of snacks and caffeine are on my grocery list. popcorn:::drinking1:surfweb:

Did you call and they applied FD for you while keeping room price or did you "change" through MDE? I was assuming that if I did the "change" option to select FD that it would be like making a new reservation and thus new room prices. But if I waited till 7 to call that maybe I could keep room price if CM just applied FD if available.
I have done it both ways. Both times it just added the FD to my already booked trip with no added cost.

Working on a batch of double chocolate chip cookies with mini m&m's. And we had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and there should be at least one leftover for me. And I'm clearly going to need a batch of popcorn to have something salty to balance that.
I picked up a case of Monster at Costco to alternate with my coffee. Think I'm set...

They should not raise your room price if you upgrade. We've done this for the last few years and I've always given us the free dining at the original room price that we booked ahead of time.

Oh, WOW! I wish I had realized that - I chose not to book before prices went up, even though I could have predicted dates of travel, because I assumed (yes, I know how assume breaks down...) that I would lose those original prices anyway because of having to add the free dining... and also thinking that if rooms were already booked, Disney would be less likely to offer deals or send me a UOC if I was already booked. Bummer. Next time, I'll be more inclined to try it.

Oh for sure. Plus how many of us also have to work on Monday.

Yeah, your room rate does not increase. If you booked before the ticket price increase, you will have to pay the new prices if you make any changes.

I can confirm. I spoke to a CM about this earlier this morning and was old the only change that would be made is the addition of the park hopper (as we now only have base tickets).

Honestly, I'm almost drooling. Y'all are killing me, here. I'm counting points and I can't even begin to think of the price tag on those items. I'll be stuck with my single Fiber One brownie imitation.

Brownies sound lovely! GREAT with coffe! Think I will make some also. I DO also have a tone of pretzel bites leftover from my sons party that may call my name in the Middle of the night.
Will yourDd be staying up late as well?
DD is 15. She says she will be up with me.
I should add that she's homeschooled and ahead of schedule for this school year, so Monday off (or a reduced day) is going to be in order.

I believe the downside is that bc aoa is considered a value resort you would only get the quick service dining plan and have to pay to upgrade it to the regular dp. I do not agree with this (bc of room price) and really wish it was considered a moderate and got the regular dp bc if it was it would be my first choice too
It would be ours too, but those suites are expensive for a value!

Everybody is talking about brownies and cookies and all these amazing snacks and I'm over here on the Atkins diet. Guess I should probably cheat tonight....

ehoops, I feel your pain! My best Atkins sweet snack was to toss pecan halves with a little melted butter, place them on a cookie sheet, sprinkle them with cinnamon and bake them for a few minutes until toasty, then very lightly sprinkle powdered splenda over them. They were actually quite good and not too many carbs. I also used to make a peanut butter cookie with pb, an egg, and splenda sugar replacement that wasn't too bad or too many carbs, but unfortunately I can't recall that exact recipe. Pork rinds and french onion dip made with full fat sour cream!! Don't cheat!! Find a good substitute and be prepared!

Devil's advocate time (because I am curious): If you booked before the ticket price increase, and keep the tickets (including PH already) you already had, is that considered a change, or would you still get the old price?

If you're making any changes to your reservation, which includes applying FD or a RO discount, then yeah..you would have to pay the increase.

Points don't count between midnight and 6am!
You're normally sleeping then, but if you're awake then you're burning more calories right? And obviously would need more points for the day:tongue:
