I know this should probably be on the WISH boards, but I thought that I would start a thread on the Podcast board about the 2015 Marathon Weekend. ADP and I spoke about the 2014 Marathon weekend on the podcast this year, so I thought some people would want some more information.

I will be updating this thread throughout the year with new info about the Marathon weekend.

I signed up for the Dopey Challenge:
- Thursday Jan 8, 2015 5K
- Friday Jan 9, 2015 10K
- Saturday Jan 10, 2015 Half
- Sunday Jan 11, 2015 Full

I know that I am crazy, but look at my name and you can see why. :)

Who else out there is running during the Marathon weekend.

Glad you posted this here Chris!

Val & I aren't running but will be there to cheer everybody on. :yay:

You know I'll be there!!! Running the 1/2 on Saturday and will be there to cheer on the 10k on Friday and Full on Sunday!

I can't wait!!:cool1:

Chris...

Doing the half! This will be my first Run Disney event, so I wanted to go for the "flagship" weekend! Eyeing other events for 2015 and if this goes well, possibly the full marathon for 2016!

Loved your segment on the 2014 marathon. I've been running for about a year and a half now and it's such a great community to be a part of. Did you follow the Jeff Galloway training program or did you use something else? I'm doing another half in October, so these plans all start too early. I'll basically probably take a rest week in between that race and my training for this! Training in the winter after work is going to be tough though.

I'll be doing the Goofy Challenge,I've been doing the full for the last couple of years and with the 10th anniversary of the Goofy I went for it.The Dopey just requires too much time and money, but I plan to be going for the Dopey challenge in 2018 for its 5th anniversary as well as the 25th anniversary of the full and will stick to going back to the full in 2016-2017.

Husband and I signed up for Dopey. It will be our second trip to DW -first was last Christmas. Cannot wait :hyper:

I am signed up for Goofy. This is my 2nd time at marathon weekend. I have done the Princess several times, DL 1/2, W&D, and I am dying to do Tinkerbelle!

I'll be attempting the Goofy as well....

Is anyone considering the Castaway Cay Challenge? If the DIS Unplugged needs coverage, I volunteer myself. :)

In all seriousness, I was eyeing this cruise anyway. I did the 5K on my cruise last year and it was a lot of fun, so this is very intriguing.

We debated it but since we've only been to Disney one other time, we decided to take the week after for a longer DW vacation. It is very tempting though. Have never been on a cruise.

I have signed up for the Goofy. I was only going to do the 1/2 but the medal looks really nice.

Have done Galloway. It's great. also, if you finish your Half in early October, you can do a few weeks of maintenence running and pick up the training program a few weeks in. no need to start from the beginning when you already have a base.

I'm jealous of all of you running Marathon weekend next year! It's so much fun.

I'm not planning the Castaway Cay addition to Marathon weekend. I do have some friends that were on that cruise anyway, so, they most likely will. Maybe one day. Being a teacher, it is impossible for me to get off for a week that time of year. If they would do Marathon weekend just one weekend earlier life would be so easier for me!

:wave2:Hi all!! I will be doing my very first Half Marathon and RunDisney event this January!!! Can not wait!
