2015 Rate Watch

Im going in October 2015!!! Ugh, the wait is nuts! Plus who knows when they will release the October dates! April? May? I cant wait that long!!

Once the rates are released you will be able to book a package for the entire year I'm going crazy waiting to book our first Disney trip for end of September/early October 2015. I am stalking the boards and the Disney site constantly, waiting for the rates to be released!!

2015 means all of 2015 so October is the same as January.

I'm anxious to book our May 2015 trip! Silly question, but room rates fluctuate? Or once the rates are released they are set and it doesn't matter if I book now or 6 months from now (not including any discounts of course)?

Getting a message that they are unable to show rates at this time for any room I check for August of this year (trying to view prices on the 30% off special), and the online chat is closed. Could this be a sign? I'm reaching anger mode about this (which is totally silly I know, it's a Disney vacation not scheduling major surgery)!

I just had an online chat with a cast member regarding reservations and when I asked about 2015 package rates she told me they would be available "by the end of August." I'm sure it will be sooner (call me optimistic), but I'm guessing that the reservations CM's are given a ball park timeline to give guests to minimize disappointments. But still- waiting is not my strong suit!

I had an online chat with a CM yesterday, too. I told her I was confused about 2015 release because I had been hearing so many different things. She stressed that many non-Disney sites speculate, and their information is not reliable. I explained that I had personally been given a date (July 20) by a phone CM, and that others had been given exact dates ranging from yesterday - July 23, and general ranges of "by the end if summer" by other CMs. All she could say was that they did not have a date for 2015 release yet, and that I should just keep checking the website & blog.

It really doesn't matter what the exact date is - but Disney should know better than giving different information to every person who asks. Their standard of excellence is (should be) better than that, I think. Sure, it's frustrating to wait, but it's even more frustrating to get a different answer every time.

I agree. I almost wonder if the CMs are just having a laugh at our expense, seeing how they can get us all riled up with these different dates!

It's more likely a sign that a bunch of people like us, checking for 2015, have caused the site to have issues. Haha!

On our January facebook page, people are reporting having difficulties making ADRs for the days that are available in January, both on the app and the website...we're wondering if it's a sign!

I agree, they should disclose to the CMs around this time to not add to speculation, and just say "we don't know" or "sometime in July/etc". Pretty sure everyone has been told a date the entire month of July haha.

It causes way to much confusion especially when you have people swearing up and down they have 2015 rates, when they don't. It's just frustrating.

I was about to say that I won't get any work done because I'm too distracted checking the website, but then I realized that once the packages are available, I will also be too distracted booking to get anything done. It's a lose/lose!

I just want the rates to come out so we can finalize days/resort so I know what we're looking at to spend! The rest of the summer/fall are going to be impacted so i'd like to start planning accordingly and not keep spending money haha.

I just tried online chat and there's a 14 minute wait time. I've never seen that kind of wait time for online chat.

I sat on hold for the first time since free dining was released to make a modification to a reservation. I think people are calling and bogging down the phone and online chat in anticipation. I'd love to be wrong!

The booking system isn't working online for this year right now... I like to tell myself that it has something to do with 2015 rates but I don't want to get my hopes up.

I did an online chat this morning (before there was a wait) and she still told me "end of the summer" (I didn't even ask specifically- I was just asking a general question about booking).

We shall see! I hope she is wrong!

I've never booked on "the day" before. Do they usually just open it up whenever? I imagined it was more of an overnight fix, then we all wake up to the good news.

Checking on dates in Sept of this year just as an experiment and even when I specify a specific resort it keeps kicking back to the resort list to choose one to check availability, and never goes to the next step. So something's up. Whether it's by accident or design, remains to be seen. It could certainly just be a server failure, but I'm hoping not.

Same thing is happening for me! I can deal with it if it means rates will be released soon (...today!).
