Now that it's nearly 2015, and I've paid off the cruise since my 6 months interest free Disney Visa period ended, AND I survived Thanksgiving in WDW with a party of 13 (it was even more fun than I expected), I'm ready to enter full planning mode for the cruise!

Let's see, FE and flight plans first...

Thanks Poison Ivy, Maburke & Disneybelle! We've been so busy trying to max out our APs for 2015 I was blindsided by the gift of the cruise. Honestly, I thought I was going to get a new coffeemaker for Christmas

Here we are at the "Great Moments with Walt Disney" at the last stop in Queens, NYC. The cast of characters include Disney Files Editor Ryan March, DH Jed O'Brien in the Yankee jacket, Disney Historian Tim O'Day, and me.

They confirmed they will see us on the DVC Member cruise to Alaska. We enjoyed this presentation, and the one Tim hosted on the 2013 DVC Member cruise "Saving Mr. Banks" preview.

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions, etc.).

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

I've seen Tim O'Day at many D23 events and it's always a great presentation. OK Christmas hustle over.
Confused with the new Dis guidelines since this is my first FE so don't really understand how it falls into place that well, but how can we post what we have and go forth from there on the first page? Posting the list here would get lost, I'm afraid. I do have the original list, but the Adult FE was closed, I believe, so how does that work? Is another Adult one started or is everyone defaulted to the family one? I'm happy to help, but don't know how much help I'd be since I've never done an FE before, much less help organize it.

All existing FE people should check their info for accuracy and post any corrections.

Any new sign ups must post their request on this thread and they will be added to the "open" group they choose.

Since we can't send or link any docs to anyone. It must be kept here only and participants should register on the Disboards.

I heard about this..It's fine with me, but I have a client FURIOUS that the big ships had beds unable to be split and that now the smaller ships will also. She travels with grown children or friends and none want to sleep in the same bed and she thinks the sofa is awful and not fit for anyone to sleep on. So, basically because of this, Disney lost a customer. I see her point somewhat..if you have folks who don't want to sleep together and find the sofa unacceptable, they have no options on Disney. Some cruise lines are starting to add single rooms..I wish Disney would also, as paying DOUBLE if you're traveling alone is daunting.

but back to the cruise - how much does it typically cost and what's the best method of payment for a cab from the airport? We'll have a party of 5 so will need either a van or 2 cabs. I don't want to get over charged being from the US.

We aren't allergic to anything and we would love anything...including alcohol! Also is there anyway to download the fe lists or do we just have to copy from here?

138 days is just to far away!!!! Can't wait!

I am also fine with it because we are a couple but can certainly understand the problems for single adults sharing a cabin. I was concerned about the condition of the cabins for the Wonder since we've only sailed on the other 3 ships - post the Magic refurbishment but this is welcome news. Just in time for the DVC to host the ship. Interesting.

Those old docs prior to the new rules had an option under the file menu. But I know all entries from here on out will be listed only on this meet thread on the DIS so best to just copy from pg. 1 here.
