2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

Also, this is pure speculation but has anyone else been considering where the 10 locations might be?

I've circled more than 10 on this map, but these are my ideas of where the locations could be.

The problem with the circles is that is also where a lot of the booths are so then where are they going?
That spot across from Canada held the Greece booth last year.
The spot near America had the booth with the lobster rolls (they get creative on that one so I can't recall the name)
The spot between Morocco and France was the Belgium booth

That's just what I remember quickly off my head.

Now some of your circles are where I thought they would have this.

And then if you have the spot near the two shops what do you get delivered from there?

This has been my problem with the 10 spots. Once you actually block out the locations for the booths it's getting crowded!

It's pretty easy to move the booths, and they are just speculation on my part.

Greece could be moved close to Hawaii and Desserts and Champagne, Belgium could be moved closer to New Zealand and Morocco, Hops and Barley could be moved to the other side of the American Adventure.

As far as what runners could get in the area between the two shops: Hawaii, Craft Beers, Terra, Brazil, Australia, were all in that area last year.

I can not even begin to speculate where booths and premium areas will be since this will be my first food and wine visit ever, but I am very intrigued.

I am very interested to see how this all turns out.

Also I think it's very interesting that there are so many comments on the Disney Parks Blog article pertaining to these new offerings and nobody has answered them yet. Is that normal?

From the pictures I have seen on the food blog the booths may be setup along the sides of the main walkway around the lagoon so,that people can pass by easily.

The booths definitely are set up on the sides of the main main walkway around the Lagoon. They need to leave plenty of space accessible near them for the lines for the booths so I don't think any of the areas will be particularly close to any booths. Based on what I remember of the booth locations spanning the past 15 or so years there are some seating areas set up in areas off the main walkway that they may be roping off Monday - Thursday to accommodate the Premium Package participants. There are several spots I can think of that they may make use of. In Italy there are portions of the plaza area near the two restaurants that could be set aside besides the premium Fireworks viewing area that most people rarely get to use. Likewise the back area in France although that one is a designated smoking area. There is a spot by Germany near the Boat dock they usually put benches in for F & W. The Grassy area between Germany & the African Village has been set up with seating for the Oktoberfest booth ever since they moved the Australia booth up by Mexico so unless they decide to rope it off during the week that area is out. I could see them possibly using the seating area off the side of France where the Belgium booth Usually is. The one that is the easiest for them to use is either the Roofed over area by the American Adventure or the tables that are in front of Liberty Inn. Due to the new bathrooms located behind the roofed area that one is less likely since they need to leave sufficient access to the Bathroom Building. They could also use the Terrace area in Canada. Of course this is all speculation on my part and I'm sure there are a few hidden areas they could use that we never normally notice. They most likely aren't going to block off areas that would interfere with the Character Greeting locations around World Showcase

Still sitting on the fence for the premium package. It sounds interesting but I am trying to figure out what is the last day for the special Area. We are coming the 4th to the 14 of November. I know the last night Of the after hours party is on the 6th, but will the last special seating be available on the last day of the festival on November 10th.

Yep. Disney knows we will just throw money at them. LOL

It was like that for the D 23 event last year. And I admit I threw cash at them and that one turned out to be a bust.

I have reservations for the EPCOT Illuminations Sparkling Desserts Party for November 1. It's the same night as a Party for the senses, both booked in the same place. Is the venue large enough to hold both or will we get moved to the outside?

So while I have two reservations, one culinary demo and one TBD mixology, I only have one charge. Do they not charge the tbd mixology session till that have a verified host? Or maybe my call to try and cancel my culinary session got half fulfilled?

So confused!!

That dessert party is outside. The description states, "The IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party venue is uncovered and seating is not available. In the event of inclement weather, the dessert portion will take place at an alternate indoor location."

It was raining hard the night we went, last May. For us they moved it to the Odyssey Center, between Test Track and Mexico. Never heard of it being in the World ShowPlace.

can anyone tell me if the Wild mushroom Filet in Canada is avilable medium rare or are they all well done?

It will depend on the chef on how they are cooked. IIRC, they are around medium well for the most part as they are trying to please the masses.

Correct, the Sparkling Dessert Party is not held in the World Showplace. It is held outdoors on the World Showcase Plaza, by the two shops. PFTS will not affect it at all.

They will not be able to cook the beef filet to order at the booth. As noted you would probably need to assume that it will be at least medium well.

It's been noted and apparently is the case that the Food & Wine Premium Package does not include any food or beverage selections beyond: the in-room wine gift, and the 6 food or beverage items included with the Late Night event, admission to which is included as part of the package. If you choose to, you can use the gift card you get with the package to purchase food or beverages.

More confusion...based on a posting on the planning boards I was concerned because dh's res for the premium party states his name plus 1 unnamed guest. A poster indicated that both names must be listed in order for the gift bags and credentials to be properly delivered. I spent over an hour on the phone last night with both dining and guest services getting them to try to add my name . They couldn't get it to add but more important they said it doesn't matter and the gift bag will come in my dh's name because " if it is a booking for 2 there is only 1 gift bag per room and that gift bag will have only 1 bottle of wine, 1 chocolate treat, 2 bands , 2 gift cards, 2 credentials , 2 tickets to the party. " I spoke with 2 different supervisors both who were saying the same thing. It's rather frustrating that so many are getting different info.
We also just found out that there is NO SEATING in the premium areas. I'm bolding this so that those who were told otherwise like us are aware. We've sadly just cancelled our pkg.

Hmm. I think I will wait and see what the reports are in the first 2 weeks of F&WF before I make any decisions about trying to drop the Premium Package.
