Here is something fun! I was one of the lucky ones to be able to make a reservation during the short period of time they were available online. Went to check my account again and discovered my Chef De France reservation for candlelight is now just for the restaurant and does not include processional. Others that were successful at making early reservations should check their online account. After speaking with a CM today, almost 100% positive this will be officially released on Monday. Yay!!! I'll try again.

Did you check the "View Details" button under the reservation? If I do, it still says it's a Candlelight Processional reservation. That's how it's looked from day one. My Fantasmic package is the same and just says the name of the restaurant on the reservations page ,but gives the package details if I use the "view details" link.

Thanks everyone for sharing your info. I've been going slowly insane waiting for the dinner packages to open up, checking multiple times a day. Fingers crossed it'll be Monday.

Does anyone have an opinion on which show is best time wise? Are they all the same?

Originally I was thinking to do the latest show and stay in the World Showcase for Illuminations, but I'm not sure.

So if (theoretically speaking) the release is Monday, does that mean one could get a reservation beginning just after midnight Sunday? Or who it start at 6am Monday?

I would assume it would work the same as regular ADRs, which is 6am for online and 7am for phone (Eastern times).

Thanks! My last 2 trips I didn't have to worry about this. Last yr, it was in testing phase. Last month, too late so didn't worry about tiers. Christmas, well a whole different story. We are staying out late, 9:30pm. Lol! DD6 will be with us. So good viewing/crowd control area is a must. Last month we did FP+ for Soarin' & 40min SB line for TT. We had no problems with 4th & 5th FP+ but none were left for Soarin' & I can't remember about TT. Not sure about IllumiNations during Christmas week. Any other time I would say IllumiNations doable for 4th, 5th or 6th FP+.

Oh well, sorry for the long dialogue. I guess it's time to put on my big girl pants & make the tough decisions now. My trips go better when planned in advance, knowing certain outcomes plus knowing things change/happen on trip. I'm on to Plan B, maybe C. Since staying out later, & arriving later but earlier enough to still enter park (just in case of mandatory closing). At least Maelstrom & Character Spot no longer tier 1. Lol! We'll have to do TT & Soarin' on our other EP day, & SB for 1 or the other on Christmas Eve.
