I am staying at BC CL in October next year but in a deluxe room. Will these be renovated after the 5th floor or just when they come to that particular floor. Wondering whether it would be worth getting onto the 5th floor to get a renovated room.

Hmmmm... We're booked one night at BC CL early December and wondering if we should move? We were hoping to stay in a refurbed room. Will they have some of the rooms open as they finish them (like the BW did this past year?)

Yay! Just booked a trip for next summer at the Beach Club! DH and I are going August 21-26 for our 25th wedding anniversary! :lovestruc I just could not pass up the magical deal....we decided after our trip this summer that it would be our last for at least a couple of years, the kids will be out of college and we have too much to do around the house, etc. and our money needs to go elsewhere. LOL, we should have known better. The price I was quoted was just plain crazy. I have no problem not staying Club Level..for the same dates as last summer, we are paying $1400 LESS, and I booked that room with an awesome PIN code. And, since I was going to renew my AP in March for our Spring Break trip to CBR and a potential work conference there next September, I'll just get DH an AP as well, so the tickets aren't really too much of a factor either. No brainer, right?

So funny how we can all rationalize anything that has to do with taking a WDW vacation!::yes::

Thank you for pointing us in the right direction today we seemed to get the room being used as the new lounge muddled up! The 6 and 4 looked very similar on the slip of paper we were given last night.
The tempory lounge is a 1 bedroom suite with the food and 1 table in what would normally be the lounge area with an extra few tables in the " bedroom"
the vanity/bathroom is screened off.
Popped in around 6pm and we were the only guests. The usual offering for that time but no decent coffee just thermos jugs. The nespresso machine will not be moving.
If anybody is really bothered about photos let me know.

Great day today but awful evening in the Yachtmans Steakhouse tonight, 1hr45mins after sitting down we still didn't have our mains which was the only course we had ordered.

I've just got more eating room when we hit the F&WF tomorrow.

Sending you a PM.

According to planned schedule, you will be fine in a nice brand new room with the brand new lounge!!!

Obviously the deluxe rooms on the fourth and third floors will for sure be done by next year this time. However, I don't know how far along they will be ... the lower floors might still be in the process or not done. The deluxe rooms are really really nice and much larger. I'd probably stick to the deluxe and add "third or fourth floor please" onto my reservation and then hope for the best.

Good morning friends!!

I haven't been on much since we returned from our trip. I was deep into my yearly "Missing the Beach Club Blues" and had to wallow for a bit before returning to all of my BC friends!!

Thankfully we booked a Bounceback for the exact same week next year. Counting the days until we can start making our ADR's! Sad but true!

I hope all of you are well and I look forward to joining all of you again!

Jay

Last year they had CL at the BC for this deal. I've asked my TA to keep me posted if those rooms become available again. Fingers crossed. :goodvibes

Just wondering is the entire Beach Club resort going to be renovated? And if so by next late Aug 2015???? Thx. :)

Simple answer, yes and maybe. Watch page one of this thread and they will keep you up to date with the progress of the remodeling project. Late August 2015 is just too darn far off to let it worry you now.

Ahhh, TeenaS, you might have convinced me to upgrade to a club level room for late January. Knowing they might be done by that time and have a brand-new room, I was able to convince DH that club level would be better than DDP.

Problem is, no more garden views for our dates with the SPD deal. Water view is over our budget. I'm going to keep checking!

If you've stayed club level, what did you love about it?!

We are currently on the road, headed home. :(

But we had an awesome 4 night stay at YC!!! Room 2123 was prefect! If you're standing on the balcony, the wedding gazebo is just off to the left and the lighthouse is right out in front. We booked a garden view and requested a king. Got the king, but we're we upgraded to water view?

Excuse my ignorance - but what's a club room??

You have access to club level lounge with breakfast, snacks, beer/wine, light food offerings in the evening, as well as desserts/cordials at night time. You also get perks such as IPO, robes, private checkin upstairs, packages delivered to your room, newspapers, and overall pampering.

Thank you. Are these all on a certain floor?

My personal opinion about club level: If you are going to be at the resort a lot, then I love to have club level. I love waking up and having breakfast there. Then spending part of the day at the pool and every time I pass the lounge, I stop and get a drink, snacks, etc. If you are going to be at the resort before dinner, having appetizers and a nice beer or wine before dinner in the lounge is super. Then after dinner, around 9 PM, having a cordial and a few tiny desserts before bed is so nice. HOWEVER, if you plan on being at the parks all day, not coming back to the resort until bed time, then no way do I do club level. We prefer club level when we are spending time at the pool and at the resort. On the trips we did parks all day, it wasn't worth the money.

My personal opinion on the dining plan is there is no way you can break even on it since they have raised the price so much. You are forced to eat a dessert at every meal (which Bob and I rarely do ... and if we do, we share one). We like appetizers, not desserts. We can't eat a whole quick service lunch every day with dessert ... we split one. Think about it ...to even come close to breaking even, you'd have to eat the most expensive thing on the menu for your entrée every meal, whether you wanted it or not. You have to get a dessert twice a day whether you wanted it or not. At over $60 a person, it is almost impossible to break even.

If you like the fact that your meals are paid for ahead of time, I suggest you put the cost of the dining plan on a gift card. Then pay for your quick service lunch and your sit down dinner with the gift card. However, you can't use the gift card for tip. Remember, tip isn't included in the dining plan ... it's extra. So, you need to pay for the tip another way. Order what you want, not what you are forced to eat. In other words, maybe you don't want a dessert for lunch every day and for dinner. Maybe you actually want an appetizer.

You'll most likely find you will have money left over at the end of your vacation and you will have eaten what you wanted, not what you were forced to eat. Bob and I did this and we had over $150 on the gift card left over. When we are on the dining plan, I always had a cash envelope for tips and I did the same with the gift card. We had lunch almost every day at the pool (Hurricane Hannah's) and we split a burger and fries. We never had dessert. We sometimes shared a dessert for dinner. The refillable mug never is a good deal unless you are at the resort all day (at the pool). You can't refill your mug at the parks. We are big water drinkers and get free water and ice at all our meals.

So my personal advice to you is to skip the dining plan whether or not you stay club level.

I'm a great supporter of the Tables in Wonderland. However, you need to be a Florida resident or annual passholder to get that.

Thank you. Are these all on a certain floor?

Regular club level rooms are on the fifth floor (standard view, garden view and water view) as well as the Presidential and Vice Presidential Suites. One bedroom and two bedroom suites and deluxe rooms (all on the first, second, third and fourth floors) have club level access. In other words, although those rooms are NOT on the fifth floor, you can elevator access to the fifth floor where the lounge is. You also of course get itinerary planning services as well as upgraded amenities in the room.

Many thanks for this. I will stick to the deluxe room and put in my request and hope that I get third or fourth floor. I have been debating all sort of rooms and resorts as have never stayed at Disney before and used to stay at Kissimmee but last time we visited was 10 years ago. I never thought I would spend this much on a hotel room and don't want to get it wrong. :worried:
