2013 Smiley Thread

hmmmm I have been counting down the days until I get to go do something out of town, and trying to find a way to do some long weekends as well.

Memorial day I will spending the day at Arlington National Cemetery placing flags on graves.

In june we will be laying to rest an Aunt at Arlington with her husband (This will make 5 family members buried there) her whole family will be coming out from indiana and we will be hosting a dinner at our house.
Labor day weekend we will be Atlanta for football

Oct / Anniversary we will be at WDW for F&W
Oct we will be in Florida for football

Oct we will be in Texas for a leadership conference, football, and David's mom's birthday :cake:

Nov we will go to NOLA for Thanksgiving and football

Nov we go to Florida for a cruise to the caribbean

Dec we are going to Veterans cemetery in Baltimore to lay wreaths

I am trying to fly out to see my Dad in August for his birthday :cake:

- He has no idea where he will be but I am trying to get him to visit us in Salt Lake City, UT.

I have a bucket list of stuff around here that I can do for a long weekend that I am hoping to fit in sometime. LOL

I hope so too, he travels all summer long, and like to go to the Northwest and middle of the US.
He will be 75 this year so I want to see him, maybe I should start working on his wife, she can make him do things!

WoW Brandi! That's a lot going on! Sounds good but very hectic! How did you get involved in the flag placement?

My grandfather is buried in Arlington plus the family of several friends. I love visiting there; so meaningful and beautiful.

Lots of trips coming up I see. My only trip after Florida is to visit my mom in PA. Her Parkinson's is worse and affecting her swallowing and speech and her cognitive functions are slipping and Macular Degeneration is now in both eyes.
