*2013* epcot food & wine festival 9/27-11/11

Called at 656, 657, 658, 659, 659, 659, 659, 700, 700 told office was closed then 700 again and told wait time was over 30 minutes.

at 741, CM picked up. Was able to book 2 GA admissions for 3d Disney Dessert Discovery on 10/25 (she tried to charge me for 3 people at first!), but anyway, by 749, booked with confirmation code and showing up on MDE.

This was after i tried the chase presale yesterday and told no availability.

There is hope!

I registered just to say that there is hope.

After all that anticipation, I finally got through and got what I wanted. (Sweet Sunday 11/3) But now I am too excited to go to sleep!! Its almost 5am here and i have been awake all night! lol Good thing I am working night shift tonight. :lmao:

Has anyone been able to book anything online? I'm trying to call back, but I keep getting a busy signal.

Shelli

After 43 minutes finally got through only to be told that none of the kitchen memories have been released for booking. When I said that I knew other people were booking and wanted to talk with a supervisor, she said the system was showing those events as not being released yet for booking.

They were ALL available to book at 7:21 am per my CM except for the one I wanted on 10/25! That's why I made her go to a supervisor to find out what was wrong with it. And I WAS able to book it, I have a confirm number and everything. Call back!

I would love the opportunity to be on hold that long. I still am getting the all circuits are busy line.

I take it that they forgot to turn on the online booking? Have tried that since 0556, with nothing. Finally got through to an agent at 7:44 am, and the reserved seating for Scotland: Land of Food and Drink is gone. I was into the phone system as soon as it opened at 0700 (started dialing continuously at 0658). And right now I am so p.o.'d, particularly in light of people above who dialed in much later than me, and who got through, that I am considering cancelling our entire trip. This has been magnified by the inability to book Cali Gill for this trip, and the primary purpose of this trip is an annual visit to CG to celebrate our anniversary - if they would even tell us when, or if, ADRs are going to be accepted would be a relief. Sorry for the vent. But right now I'm a bit fed up with Disney.

Tried for Sweet Sunday 9/29 and Scotland Food and Drink Reserved.
Sweet Sunday was available. SF&D Reserved was booked, but General was available.

So SF&D Reserved Seating really WAS all booked up yesterday, I guess... no block set aside to open today. Huh. OK. Well, I will be happy with my "regular seating", then, I guess! :goodvibes

Have to admit that I'm still a tad bitter toward the CM right at 7AM yesterday who swore up and down that she could NOT book Disney cardholders for anything but a handful of items. Grrrrrr...

Every year I say I am not going to do this again unless Disney organizes their systems a little better. And every year I do this again anyway.

I've made 203 calls since 7AM. And all I have gotten is "All circuits are busy" or a busy signal.

I guess venting here was the magic trick. Attempted call #212 finally went thru. Now on hold with "a wait time of more than 30 minutes."

Took about 40 mins to get through but the CM was great. Got PFTS reserved seating for 10/26 and Tequila lunch on 10/25.

First time for PFTS. Pretty excited.

Which is probably what everyone needed to hear. How nice of you! :goodvibes And :welcome: to posting here on the DIS! ::yes::

Ok, I wasn't hopeful when I first started talking to the CM after being on hold for 30 minutes, but it all worked out and I got my 3 events:

10/25 French Regional Lunch
10/21 Italian Regional Lunch
10/23 Italian Regional Lunch

I'll book PFTS at a later date, since we just do general admission, and my credit card is now burning up!

In like flynn.

VERY helpful CM. Didn't get the Sweet Seats I wanted for 10/25 3D, but did get the GA, and got the three seminars/demo I wanted.

Got up at 5:55 cdt to book PFTS. After a 20 minute phone ordeal- dial, redial, circuits busy, I called the Tours Dept number and was told there was a 30 min wait; held less than 15 min. and got 3 tix for reserved seating. And yes, now I'll apply for a credit card that will be useful once a year as I'd rather use my cards tied to my airline mileage account~ Now, back to sleep. I hope.

Well done!

I think there's only me still from 7am now!

I don't know what to do - I daren't hang up, but it's been almost an hour, surely that doesn't seem right?!

I FINALLY got through and am sitting on hold... but just wanted to make sure: I got (what I think is) the regular dining spiel about how you can now book online. I called the special festival number - is this normal?

I'm trying to book PFTS (gen adm) and the Hibachi Experience for Nov 2 & 5. Is this hopeless at this point?

Ugh....

No go on kitchen memories on the 18th and the 25th.
No go on the cheese seminar on the 26th.

I told the CM I had a hard time believing a cheese seminar was booked. Her solution was to put me back in the queue or to call back later. Really?

I'm going back to bed - its 5 am in Oregon. Forget this. What a cluck-up!

Call back!!! I got Kitchen Memories on the 25th, they had not put it in the system properly!

Took 42 minutes to get a CM, took another 16 to make all the reservations. The CM's don't know the times of the events yet, so without the exact times they cannot find anything. Also, you may have to spell out Sunday for them, because they seem to think it is Sundae.... Got everything I wanted, except for the bill, this stuff is sooooo expensive.
