*2013* epcot food & wine festival 9/27-11/11

I hope this isn't too redundant but this will be our first year at F&W. How does it basically work? What is included with your park admission? Do you have to pay for every tasting of food & wine or is there some sort of package you can buy? Are the concerts an extra charge? Where can I find a listing of the events and classes offered? Thanks so much for the help.

Thanks for posting that - yummmy!

I have just decided if I don't get the Chef Marketplace tour then I am gonna use that money for us to eat our way around the World! anyway, cuz those sure look good!

The upshot is that they are smallish samples and if you share you can probably eat alot more of them than you may think, especially if you space it out and skip lunch. (my plan)
;)

The F & W festival is set up in the World Showcase and there is no addtional "entry fee".

But yes, you have to pay for the food and beverage samples individually. I wish you could just but a "tasting pass" of some sort at a discounted rate. That would be amazingly great.

Here is a listing of some lof last year's prices to help you get an idea:

As far as I am aware, the concerts are free too but seating is limited.

Eat to the Beat is most definitely free. If the beer were free I'd never leave

I took the tour last year and it was great. I haven't seen anything that it is being offered this year. Did I miss it?

So I know about the Chase Lounge, have a card and am planning to use it as a mid-day rest stop during the F&W Festival.

According to every blog or website that mention it from last year they say "get there early you can get "special wristbands to have special seating for the Eat to the Beat Concerts, as well as a reserved area for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth."

For those who have been before what is Early?

So do they open when the Park opens are do they open when the World Showcase opens?

I don't see the marketplace tour listed.

It isn't listed. The other poster implied if it isn't available then she can't get it and money will be used to eat around the world.

We still don't know if it is offered or not since the full schedule and times hasn't been released yet.

I would say early is before 10:30am. Especially on a Saturday. The festival center opens when future world opens, as it is actually at the edge of future world.

Ha - great idea! that will definitely be the plan, then I can keep my Counter service restaurants the same - yes, I plan down to my counter service restaurants:rotfl2: you all know how we planners get:lmao:

I am now set with my meals and if the Chef marketplace tour opens up we should be set....thank you all for all this great information. I am looking forward to our first F&W!

No, you didn't miss it. :confused3

I did read on DIS that it was great and wanted to try it this year.

Hoping they have it added ~ sooner than later would be nice.

So keeping my eyes open. I am sure someone here will post as soon as it is up. Crossing my fingers!

Anyone have an idea when the 2013 ebook guide will be available? I pre-ordered and am anxious to read it! 2012 version I have but I'd like the newest version before I start my plan of attack!

For those who have been before what is Early?

On weekdays they generally still had concert wristbands as late as noon to 1 PM unless there was a run on the performer (if they were really popular).

On weekends they would generally run out by 11 to noon.

Haggis is a savoury pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver and lungs); minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally encased in the animal's stomach and simmered for approximately three hours. No idea how they would do it veggie????

Me either, but I did find this online when I searched haggis in general:
