2013 deals TOMORROW!!!!

Those dates from AAA that were posted are the regular season dates for Disney on their website. Those were not discount dates. The only discount out right now goes thru March 7th and some people are getting pins that go thru September so far with quite a few blackout dates that coincide with the regular season dates posted

Hoping someone can help me....I've been to DW a million times, but never booked through AAA before. This is the first time I'm coming for spring break (March 23), so I know there will be no discounts and no free dining.

What is the deal if you book through AAA. Can you change your dates/change your discount/still use my Dis Credit Card and get the 6 months finance free. What if DW comes out with Free Dining, can I cancel my AAA with no penalty? Sorry for all the questinos, I just don't want to to jump the gun, cancel my existing ressie, book through AAA, and regret it later.
:confused3

I don't know the answers to all of your questions. But I do know that you do not have to book through AAA in order to get a AAA discount. I've received AAA discount when booking through Dreams Unlimited Travel, and I'm pretty sure that I've received the discount when booking directly with Disney. If directly with Disney is what you've done before and what you are comfortable with, then I suggest that you do it that way & request the AAA discount from Disney. Then if other discounts or offers come along, you should be able to modify. I have personally never booked directly with AAA.

I think you'll be in a better position for modifying your reservation if you plan to use the same agent all along.

Was anyone able to book a October 2013 vacation with the discount?? I can't find anything with the dates the OP posted. I only see dates thru march

Nothing for October 2013. :( It seems we all got caught up in Disney's new "retheming" of their already-released rates. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that a discounts will come out in the beginning or middle of 2013. If it doesn't - off site it is!!!

OOOH!! I'm so glad you answered this! I was trying to call Disney this morning to find out if we can use AAA through Disney, but I was on hold forever. We are already booked for June 2013, through Disney, and thought that maybe we would get AAA for the year so that we can apply that to our reservation. Is it too late to do that (since we already booked) or can I still add that?

It's kind of the "backup plan" if Disney doesn't come out w/ any discounts for June! :confused3

This is what I have always experienced when wanting AAA discount:

If you want room only, you can book through Disney directly and get a AAA discount.

If you want a package with tickets and/or dining, you need to book through AAA to get the discount.

Does anyone have a different experience with this?

also, if you book through disney you don't get some of the smaller perks, such as premium diamond parking. but if you book through AAA, any changes need to be made through them, just as with any other travel agent. makes it kinda hard to "tweak" your trip.

also, although you can
apply" a new discount to a trip that is already booked, it doesn't mean they will have rooms available FOR that discount. which may seem to not make sense, since you already have the room.

they have a certain amount of rooms "blocked" for each discount.. there may be rooms available at that resort, just not for that particualr discount.. that's why you hear of people chaning their resort to get a discount
