2013 dates

If they wait too long, people are going to end up booking with other cruise lines. From what I've heard, the other lines' prices are already going up.

I agree. We are thinking of B2B Med cruises if they are doing the eastern and western. But I got tired of waiting to plan my 50th. So I started looking at other options. There are quite a few Med cruises to choose from on other lines. I've also started looking at trips to one of the Sandals on St. Lucia. I hope DCL moves soon. Once I put a deposit down, I usually quit looking.

Being not on the East Coast's Time zone, I hope DCL gives us notice about booking at least a day before the booking opens. I don't mind getting up early for DCL, but I need to be told to GET up early

Other cruise lines are booking only into ~ April 2013, and mostly in the Caribbean. Royal Caribbean is booking through Sept. 2013, but only on the Allure and Oasis. Europe and Alaska cruises on other cruise lines probably won't be available to book until spring 2012, so DCL is by no means late in announcing their 2013 itineraries.

OK that has me wondering why people book dummy dates-I thought it was to get the first release on pricing then move your dates.

Confused Linda

When you book onboard you get 10% off the price of the cruise, OBC from Disney and your deposit is 1/2 off. Those benefits you can transfer to any booking you make after you leave the ship. If you book on land, you do not get any of those benefits.

Anyone think that the Dream will ever sail for 7 nighs? Or will it always be the one to provide the shorter trip options? I would also love a 7 night trip (on any ship) that went through CC twice (beginning and end). Anyone see that ever happening?

My understanding is that the Dream will be only for shorter cruises, and the Fantasy for the longer ones. DCL has done 7-night itineraries with a double dip just like you want...we did one, I believe in 2006...it was fabulous!

We've done CC twice on a previous cruise but were told that it only happens when there's a sailing regatta going on and other port options are closed. Personally, I'd be ecstatic if the ship went to CC 4 times on a 7 day with the others being sea days, but I think we're more likely to see a Dark Kingdom open

Oooooh! That would be a great trip!

We did the cruise you are describing on the Magic in August 2009 but it was because there was a hurricane or tropical storm in the area so we diverted from an Eastern to a Western but with a stop on Sunday at Castaway Cay and another on the Friday.

No idea if they would ever do 7 night double dips on the Dream but it was great knowing as we left on Sunday that we would be back again a few days later!
