Who knows as everyone was sure there would be fd at the end of August and there isn't! Though I think this time is getting more popular with people who's kids aren't in school so they don't need to have it. I think with the economy in the US getting better they are beginning to only have it a times when it is quiet as a way to get people to the parks. I guess you plan for not having it and if you do get it then that's a bonus! I'm not sure its wise any more to say you can only go if you get free dinning as people over the last few years seem to have. Maybe people will only be able to go once a year or every other year as it will be more expensive for them. Keep your fingers crossed!

I just received an email for free dining, it is a pin, but may mean that more free dining is coming. The dates are for arrivals most nights 8/25–10/2/13,
10/18–10/31/13, 11/11–11/23/13, 11/30–12/4/13 and 12/15–12/22/13.

We are already booked in September by renting DVC points so it doesn't help us. Hopefully you will receive the email too!

I think if they offer it you would get it for your whole trip. I think as long as you arrive on the dates shown you get FD. I am not a free dining expert though, will only did FD on our first trip.

I priced out our trip that I have planned just to see how we would have faired. FD at AKL with PH and WP&F for 8 days with DDP was $3790. We are staying at AKL with points and YES tickets with PH and WP&F for $2053. We can eat very well for 7 nights fr $1740

We may stay off site and pay out of pocket for the 1 or 2 character dining meals we want to do.(we have some marriott rewards to use.)

I should find the cost for tickets through YES as opposed to Undercovertourist.com, has anyone crunched the numbers?

2013 isn't the same for promo's as previous years..yes...it stinks

My guess is no free dining in October since they just announced September dates..unless of course they end up extending the dates!

The YES tickets if you can get them are better than Undercover Tourist. They are not nearly as good as last year when they were half the cost, but we saved around $150. If you have more kids participating in the program you will save more, we only have 1 kid

Call me stupid but what pin/email? Is this a DVC thing? If so then ok...bummer, but then maybe Disney Credit will get one next before it hits the general public...*crosses fingers* I'm going in October (just booked yesterday) and this would be AWESOME!!!!!

Not a dvc thing. I didn't get the pin code in my email but I called to see if there were any pins on my name and I had it

Did you get it also? I'm happy saving all that money. We have 3 adults and one child on the plan for 10 nights so it was great to get!

We got the free dining pin and so did my brother. We love that it is up to Dec. 22nd so we can check in the 20/21/22nd and stay for the holidays....Free dining is going to save us over 1500.00.................Love pins!!!

I originally booked Nov 11-15, and just added a day, arriving on the 10th. So would I be eligible for free dining from the 11th on if it's released to the public?

You would have to book a room only reservation for the 10th, and start a FD package on the 11th.
