I just called ABD to find out when the 2011 trips will be posted. Aug. 1st is the day. I can't wait. Just got back from the Alpine trip and it was amazing!

That is great news...holy smokes, only 2 1/2 weeks away. Surprising they are coming out on a Sunday though.

Glad to hear you had a good time on your trip. Are you going to do a trip report to give us all the details and pictures of your adventure? It's always fun to hear what is everyone's favorite parts of a particular trip are.

I agree it's odd that they're doing it on a Sunday. :confused3 But I can hardly wait. I'm really, really hoping they've added Hawaii to the list... I guess we'll see, soon!

Aug 1 at 12:01 AM, maybe? (Pacific Time) Wonder what DisneyGuy has to say about this?

Personally, I'd like to see England/Scotland, Japan, and/or Eygpt...I imagine Hawaii will be added this year or next once the new Disney property is up and running there.

I wish it would be even earlier. I'm really looking forward to seeing if there are any new itineraries or other interesting changes. I hope they offer some incentive to book early, because I'd like to make a decision early and feel good about it, like back in the old days (that being 2008). If not, I'll probably just wait until early 2011 to make a decision and try not to agonize over it like I did last year.

On the Viva Italia trip I took in May, the price was $300 less when I booked it in September than it was in December. They didn't have an official EBD, but I think in some instances, there was an incentive for booking early. Of course if you waited, there was also the chance of getting a free cruise.

Actually, we ("Authorized Disney Vacation Planners") heard from Disney earlier today that bookings will open on July 21 and that we should hear about itineraries shortly. That's next Wednesday! I don't see anything in the email that says it's confidential, so I think it's okay to share!

Oh, cool! Thanks for the head's up, Dotti! I can start agonizing over next year's trip before I even get the Trip Report for this year done!!! :rotfl:

Of course, that does mean DisneyGuy was off by 4 days! heheheheh

TOO funny! I did log on here to see if you had put up another installment on your cruise report Sayhello.

Since we have a DCL to Alaska booked for next summer I'll have to look at the 2011 trips as an 'info only' experience :thumbsup2

I'm hoping to have the next one up tonight or tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Unless, of course, one of those trips is an ABD add-on to the Alaska cruises... :yay:

Not off by 4 days hehehehe ABD pushed the date back. Now travel agent email goes out first on the 21st or there is talk it is 23rd. Nevertheless, say goodbye to golden and hello to tut. Have a magical day ;)

That's a little disappointing. I was all set to see the new itineraries tomorrow. Oh, well. A few more days won't hurt. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Northern CA trip go away. ABD's trip was originally priced at almost $700 more than Tauck's similar trip. About 6 months after the 2010 trips were released they lowered the price by $400 and then cancelled some dates for the 7-day and added the 6-day trip. I would assume that means it wasn't selling well. I compared the activities and accommodations and never could figure out why the ABD trip was so much more expensive. Maybe Tauck can negotiate better rates because of volume. When we were in Monterey there were two Tauck groups (one Bridges, one World Discovery) at the hotel at the same time.

I was told by someone that works for Disney that the only itinerary that is no longer being offered for 2011 is the Gateway option for Costa Rica, being replaced with a second Costa Rica itinerary visiting different parts of that country in addition to the regular itinerary that has been offered in the past. Only one new adventure is being added for 2011 and it isn't Greece or Japan. We will know more on July 21st
