2011 Point Changes

We made a reservation for January 2011 that used 183 points at SSR for a 1 bedroom. When I looked at the new 2011 point chart the listing for this same room was 173 points. Will the difference be returned to my account or am I just out of luck because I made the reservation prior to the change in points required ?

Point charts were released prior to the ability to make any reservations for 2011 so nothing could have changed since you booked the room. Are you looking at the new 2012 charts instead and the change in dates might be making the difference?

Once points charts are released, they are fixed for the year. DVC did not change the 2011 points charts.

But sometimes the amount listed at dvcmember.com under "My Vacations" can be wrong. Online points for reservations we used in 2009 have always been incorrect. MS has always told me not to worry about it -- their point totals are accurate.

I know they are not supposed to change the charts which is exactly why I asked the question. I was not sure if it was a typo in the posting or I had actually gotten the wrong figure. I see now that I made a mistake and was in the OKW chart and not SSR.
