2011 Magic Cruise Point Chart

We have a 12/24 2011 cruise booked and will soon become DVC members. I do not have access to the cruise point charts and want to verify points needed.

Can you please tell me how many points for Disney Magic Category 9 with additional passengers ages 13+ and 6-12 (we have booked two rooms with 6 people).

We own 200 points a year!! I had enough points to put my family, four of us, on the cruise using 3 years of points!! However, I was able to rent those 3 years of points and pay cash for the cruise and had enough to cover the air fare and transfers!! I didn't "make" any money, I just didn't have to "pay" for any parts of the vacation as far as the "travel" cost were concerned!! We booked this past Friday and go on 11/12/2011!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Just something to consider as it really wasn't that hard!!

I own DVC but also rented points for a one night pre cruise for August and the man I rented from just asked that I send my deposit by check, which I was surprised but happy I don't have to use my creditcard.
I will also be taking a Disney Dream cruise next year and using our points for two 6B verandah cabins. It woudl be lots of points for me to rent (don't remember how many exactly I need but we have them) and sometimes think about doing this to cover the cruise and airfare. Right now we are booked through DCL and then was going to move over to MS in a few months.
Was it hard for you to keep track? That would be a lot of points for me to keep track of renting.

I was EXTREMELY skeptical about renting my points!! But with some encouragement from some Diser's, and being told MANY MANY times that using points for DCL was not worth it if you figured your dollar to point cost for the cruise!!

I do not have paypal, I collect checks, and if they bounce then I can cancel the trip and re-rent the points!! I was only able to rent my 11 pts left from 2009, my 2010 points and all but 2 of my 2011 points. Next year, when I can borrow from 2012, I will rent those points to!! I ended up doing 4 rentals, and I did contracts for each!! I am so happy with my descision, and so is my wife knowing that the whole cruise is paid for!!

By the way, we booked two ocean view cat 9B rooms adjoining!!! It was cheaper for the two rooms then for the one family size room with the veranda!!

Yes, we always booked two rooms for our family of 4. Even if it is not cheaper, it is well worth the money with teens, this time my mother is also coming with us.
Anyway, we have two 6B verandah rooms booked for I think July24, 2011. I will have to see how much it will cost for cash ressie (my TA that I always use for cruises will discount DCL) and how much I can "make" renting all 2010 adn 2011 ponts and my left over 2009, although I have to keep some for myself for our two night pre cruise for July 2011 at THV (hopefully will get when calling in August for next July).
I'm going to call my TA tomororw to find out the discount and then work from there to see how much I woudl make and if the headache would be worth it.
I assume you sold for the going $10, correct? That is what I just paid for our one night pre cruise for this July (although not on DCL).

Is there something specific you looked for? For instance, were you just looking or answering renters that were requesting a big chuck of your points? Were you looking for renters that were already within the 7 month mark? What did you do if they were in the 7 month mark? Did you request full payment? Were you nervous about your points going into holding if someone cancelled?
That is one of the concerns I have, along with a few others.
