What is going on with gas prices? Ugh. They are slowing climbing up, up, up!

Today in San Diego, I paid $3.59/gal for plus. :headache:

What are you paying?

It really caught my attention today when I saw a sign that said $2.99.

The lowest I've seen here in Quantico Virginia is $3.39 for regular. I thought THAT was high! My friends who heat with oil are suffering and they're saying we'll see $4/gal for gas before winter is over.

I think it is $3 at the least expensive place, around $3.25 everywhere else.

It is supposed to get to $5 per gallon by 2012 from what I am reading. Don't know what we will do at that point.

Dawn

$3.39 for regular on my last fill-up.

We do carpool daily, so that has cut our gas consumption by half. I can't imagine we used to drive separately to work. Our work locations are just over 1.5 miles apart and we are 35 minutes from work.

If we had public transportation that went that way, we'd use it. We do use the bus and train on the weekends.

I am switching to regular but I the lowest I have seen that is for $3.49.

Here in SW Washington we are paying $3.19/gal. Last week during the local news they aired a segment about gas prices saying that we should be looking at $4-$4.50 by summertime.

I paid $2.91 this afternoon. I feel sorry for those of you already paying over $3.

We are in Alabama and today gas was $2.89. We haven't hit the $3.00 mark yet, but gas tends to be lower here.

I haven't been paying attention to gas prices in the news. Why are prices rapidly going up again?

I haven't been paying that much attention but I think regular is around $3.17/gallon here.

As the OP, can I ask any DISer's who post their gas prices; could you please give us your city and/or state. :thumbsup2. TY.

$3.69 for premium at the Chevron in San Diego, CA. Lame. :headache:
