DD and I did the Chef's table at V&A don't eat all day is all I can say!! Not only is it a lot of food but we added the wine paring as well so it was A LOT of drink as well!! Such a great experience though.

Jenneth and everyone leaving soon, this is such a great time to go! Weather can be unpredictable, but crowds are low and this is a perfect time to travel and break up the yucky winter months. We have 19 days until our San Francisco to Newport + DL trip, and it feels like it's too far away!
Thanks for the sympathy everyone. Day actually managed to get worse. Found out brother-in-law had surgery today that we didn't know about. It was also one of the rare days I had to work (I work very infrequently, about 2-3 days a month) and then had to pick Mark up at the train station this evening, which is about 20 minutes from home. But the car is back, thankfully!
I hope the bacon and tequila didn't arrive while I was gone!
Nate did return from school in one piece. The only person who gave him a hard time about the jersey was his Social Studies teacher.
Our two trips to the BC were in July and we never found the pool to be too crowded to enjoy.
Have a fantastic trip!
Why thank you! I was seriously battling it out with speel chak. I call it "Speel chak" because if that's what it does to perfectly good words that I type then I am going to mess up it's name to get back at it.

Maybe I should plan a "Last time to use FP according to its old rules" trip, before March! If only it could fit in the budget!![]()
Wow - I'm appreciating this nice conversation about the FP changes!
We collect FPs like crazy in the morning, but use them all by the early afternoon. We're morning people at MK, AK or DHS, and after we leave, we usually don't return - we're at dinner/in Epcot at night. We used to have an FP strategy where we returned within the window, so we'll just revert back to that. It will be different because we're losing our rider swap for many rides (youngest is 40 inches now) and open-ended FP returns all at once, but there are several benefits associated with those losses. Like Mickey T said, we'll just adjust!
Just got off the phone w/ DS's sped. teacher. He is starting M.S. in Sept. and has mild anxiety disorder. Wanted to ask her if they could make sure he has at least 1 friend in his class? They do make sure at least 1 kid is with them from his school, but in his situation it really needs to be a friend someone he plays with. Wasn't sure how it was gonna go. I think it went well she totally agreed with me and said he would perform so much better. She is going to bring it up at the team meeting this week and call the M.S.
So happy about this

-this was something I copied from the DIS ages ago, but unfortunately, I don't remember who originally posted it:
Patrons Jealous Over 'Fast Pass' Riot At Disney World
ORLANDO (CAP) - Disney World patrons jealous over people entering the "Splash Mountain" ride more quickly via the Fast Pass line rioted yesterday, jumping over rope barricades and throwing a Disney cast member who tried to stop them over the ride's 52-foot drop, where he was almost impaled on a plastic rabbit.
According to witnesses, the melee began when - about 70 minutes through the ride's 110-minute wait - several families that were part of a "Magical Gathering" from Alabama started taunting people moving through the Fast Pass line, wherein park goers get a ticket to return later and enter the ride more quickly.
"I heard the whole thing," said Arnold Cranmore of Lenyard, Conn. "They started yelling, Hey, Fast Passers! You think you're better than us? and Got your *** Pass, you f--ing babies? It got pretty ugly."
The altercation apparently turned violent when an 8-year-old in a Goofy hat from Somerville, Mass. waved his Fast Pass at the angry mob and gave them "the finger," prompting Fred Carlisle of Malbis, Ala. to throw a frozen Mickey Bar at the boy.
"It's a miracle he wasn't killed," said Capt. Carl Franklin of the Orlando, Fla. Police Department. "Mickey Bars are considered a deadly weapon," he added, noting that when fully frozen they can be harder than titanium.
This led to an all-out brawl, with patrons in the "standby" line surging through the barricades and chasing the Fast Pass holders up the 87-foot-tall fiberglass mountain. "They were swinging away with anything they could get their hands on," said Cranmore. "Plastic pirate swords, $17 squirt bottles with fans on them, giant turkey legs - I might have been beaten to death if I hadn't been able to get into the ride and hide behind the Zip-A-Dee Lady. Um, that's the big boat."
The riot was finally quelled by a group of Disney cast members wearing jack boots and carrying truncheons, who appeared suddenly, beat the offenders into submission and dragged them into the park's legendary system of underground tunnels. At press time, the U.S. government was still negotiating for their release.
Meanwhile, one of the terrorized Fast Pass holders, Brad Federman of Des Moines, Iowa, expressed disbelief at being targeted.
"I mean, anybody can use the Fast Pass," he said. "You just have to plan well and be organized, like when you come to the park with a step-by-step itinerary, making sure to bring non-perishable snacks and frozen water bottles that thaw gradually during the day for a thirst-quenching treat."
This prompted the man standing next to Federman to run him over with a rented plastic stroller.
Dee, I sent this to Jeanne earlier today and she emailed it to all the teachers at her school. It brightened everybody's day!!!
BTW- you may want to make your next post sooner rather than later (check out your post count). There are people in here who monitor that type of thing!

How did you like the Chef's Table from an atmosphere perspective, Nannette? My DH and I want to do it, but weren't sure as we didn't have a big enough party to fill the whole table if that was even an option for us?![]()
Thanks!! NannetteAww who does that?!?!
I love when teachers take the time to listen to parents! So happy for you and your son.

ME NO LIKE!!!![]()
Several things:
First, thanks to everyone who is helping me feel better about crowds for our upcoming March trip.
Next, add me to those bummed about the FP rules. I get it. I really do. Unfortunately, when you're used to how it had been and that's the way you were planning it for an upcoming trip, it's disappointing to find out things will be different. As a previous poster said, staying at BC, I was really planning on collecting some FPs, heading to the hotel for an afternoon swim, and then back to Epcot to use the FPs. Back to Ridemax to see how this changes things.
Finally, one person weighed in on my bed question. Maybe I could get confirmation on that. My original question was, we have three people (me, DH and DD17). Will we automatically get a room with two queen beds, or is there a possibility we could get a king with a day bed? I definitely want two queens, but don't want to waste a "request" on that if I don't have to. Would rather save my requests for balcony and location.
Gee Dee,
First they dump your PM's and now they ruin the run for the FP's. Next thing you know they'll outlaw food porn and books on the balcony.
Excuse my complete ignorance, but what are redneck ride photos?
