2010 point chart

I may be late to the game of just realizing how much the new point charts will affect us. We go every year at spring break to HH. We stay in a 2 bedroom Sun-Sat. We usually expend 196 points for this stay. We drive down so we have to leave on Saturday to get back to NH Sunday evening. I just looked at what we would need for next spring and it went up 14 points. 14 points doesn't seem like alot but could mean we can't squeeze out a quick trip in a studio at some point. I understand the reason behind the change and I'm hoping I can benefit on the other end somehow but right now I'm not a happy camper.

We are in a similar situation with our OKW points. In trying to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges we discovered our spring/summer trip, which is usually 12 days with one weekend in a studio, will be an additional 14 points or the cost of one night in a studio and our Xmas trip will be an additional 1 point. The one point is not a big deal. However this will mean one less day for us onsite in spring/early summer.

We did send a note to DVC via the contact link on DVCmember.com. We received a nice note then a follow-up phone call from DVC. The cast member indicated that he wanted to make sure that he relayed my concerns accurately to the leadership at member services. He indicated that they respond to every contact they receive.

We compared our typical trips under the current chart and 2010's, and in all cases we'll need MORE points for each trip. Not a happy camper, cause we'll be getting less for our money.
