2010 point chart question

I was looking at AKLV charts and it shows an increase of 1 point per night between 2009 and 2010. I thought point values couldn't change just the season dates. What's up?

TOTAL points for a resort can't change, but they can reallocate the points for given days and seasons as long as the total for the resort stays the same. They do this by juggling points based on popularity of days and times of year. There was a major reallocation for all resorts starting in 2010, and I think we can expect more of that to go on as the membership of DVC increases.

If point values go up for any particular night they must go down somewhere else. So in essence the whole years total points can't change but the points allocated for the days, some up some down.
