I got bib #51678...now I have questions.
This is my first half, first Disney race, first anything more than a 5K. When I signed up back in the spring I had no idea what my finish time would be as I was a new runner, had just done the couch to 5k program, so I didn't have much to base my estimated finish time on. So I just threw on there a finish time of 3:15.
[Side note: They incorrectly put in my est. finish time as 2:15, but of course they had no proof of that time...]
So based on my bib number they've put me at the very back of the pack. Let's say I am able to finish the Half in 2.5 hours, will I be able to do that if I am starting at the back like that? Does that matter?? And if it does not matter, why do people want to move up in corrals? Is it just so that you can start the race earlier (because it appears that the first wave starts at 5:50am, and the last at 6:15am)?
Thanks for any help, I feel so in the dark. I can't wait to go through all of this for the first time and understand how it works.
