Does anyone have points charts yet for 2010 disney collection? Specifically, I'm curious about points for poly and GF for value season. I have the 2009 chart from dvcnews. Do they tend to change much year over year? I know that rates have just been released for cash reservations for 2010, so I'm wondering whether they are out yet. Thanks.

I was just looking at the 2010 on the member website, some observations:

1. Disneyland - Grand Californian is gone but they did not add the $95 fee. Points are up - PPH standard room in lowest season went from 18 to 21 points for weeknights.
2. WDW - the lowest points to stay in a Deluxe hotel is 40 for weeknights at the YC in value season, plus $95 fee. Was 37 last year, excluding the Contemporary Garden rooms, which are no longer available. The value season rates for the Poly start at 41, GF starts at 45.

I'm not a member yet. Any chance you might post the points for poly or GF in value season?

I would not buy DVC with the intention of staying at Non-DVC resorts. As you can see, the points required are very high plus there is a $95 reservation fee (excluding Disneyland & Campgrounds).

Yup -- good advice. I was just curious. I've rented reservation points for disneyland resorts, which has been a good deal when people have developer points or reservation points. Turns out to be a win-win. But with VGC coming on line, that option is going away for the best CA hotel.

Just looking at cash reservation prices with AAA discount for next year, which have just been released, the value of disney collection points looks pretty much right around $7 to $8, depending on season, and not even taking into account the $95 fee. With a "code" or deeper discount like AP, even less. Not a great deal. But still, the flexibility to have that option if you have the points is worth something, I suppose.
