Instead of watching the Superbowl, I did my taxes online tonight. I owe, but in paying H&R Block for their services and paying my taxes it came out to just under $200. I was actually relieved that it wasn't more.

Now, we won't talk about how much Corey is going to get back. She gets all of the good deductions, but then again, she makes double what I do, so it makes more sense for her to grab all of the deductions.

Has anyone else done their taxes yet?

Taxes? Does that have to do with money? Sorry, not my department! :rotfl2:

::yes:: It's a money thing. I guess Shrek does the money stuff at your house.

I already filed and got my return......sucks that almost all of it has to go towards fixing my car though.

Funny you should ask!

I did the Turbo Tax online thing this afternoon, and I already got an e-mail saying the IRS has accepted our return and we have an estimated date for our refund! :thumbsup2 I have never done the e-file thing before so I had no clue what it would be like.

Good thing it was easy. We took DS and 5 of his friends to Great Wolf Lodge for his birthday on Friday night and I am still tired. I don't think I was cut out to have 6 kids! :rotfl2:

I did Turbo Tax too. I will probably to use it again, it made everything easy, and better than other online companies I've used in the pass.

I have always done our taxes myself because we don't have anything complicated to report. I am just REALLY impressed at how fast it went through. If I had done it on paper the return would still be sitting in my purse waiting to go tot he post office!

That's part of why I do them online, they go through quickly. Plus, I'm one of those people that would forget their head if it weren't attached to my head. :rotfl:

Did mine last week - haven't filed yet though. Getting a good amount back though. Between me and Chris - we will be able to put a dent in our Home Equity!!! I can't wait for some year to be able to actually spend our returns LOL

Mine will not get done for sometime.

I am doing the 1099's today! So I know all of them (including my GF) did not to them.

During the superbowl : 0

I think I should have at least done the 1099's before the game.......

I pay the bills. She does the taxes. :teeth: Works for us. :thumbsup2

Scott and I each do our own.

I've already filed, and should get my refund via direct deposit within the next few days. :woo hoo:

I don't have them take out any personal deductions from my pay check, so I always have a decent sized refund. (I know it's not the best way to save, but it's the only guaranteed way that I'll do it. :rotfl:)

I use a portion of my refund each year to buy my WDW Annual Pass (which will be cheaper this year, because we have no need for the Premium Annual since P.I. closed. :guilty: )

I typically use the rest on something "fun" like putting it toward an upcoming vacation or something.

This year, part of it is going toward paying off the Big Fat Gay Disney Wedding, and part of it is buying us a new laptop that we can travel with (see, the vacation thing is usually part of it. :thumbsup2) We're excited to buy the travel laptop, because it's the computer where we'll install our Rosetta Stone for French software and start learning more French before going back to Paris next year. :cheer2:

I use H&R Block online. I already got and spent my refund as well :rotfl:

Today is my macaw's b-day, so I bought him a new cage with it (he has only had a perch and needed one anyways). I also caught up on some bills, and bought a new el-cheapo PC (mainly bought it for the monitor, a 19" widescreen HD monitor, although the PC its self is about 3x better than my old one).

Nice purchases, both of you! Not sure what we'll do with our refunds this year.

Probably vacation oriented. Usually is. But there are some bills (aren't there always :crazy2: ) that could use an extra payment or two.

I just turned my info in today...a friend who is a tax guy, is doing them for me and only charging me, the cost to electronically file. Of course, I'm giving him $$, he just doesn't know it yet. As for the return...I have it spent (in my head) and it's not even here yet!!

1) Pay my half of our disney trip in Aug

2) Set aside $$ for son's wedding rehersal dinner

3) Treating myself to Tattoo Makeup!!

4) What little is left, treating my girls to a few things!

See? Gone!!
