Why does it take so long for the Universal Resort Hotels rate to be loaded? I'm an early booker, and I want to start my plans for Spring Break 09, I know, it's 9 months away, but, I'd like to start planning now.

leah-

i was wondering the same thing! wanted to price out a june 09 vacation but can't get anything. does anyone know when rates will be out?

lara

book now and modify later when rates come out.
the AAA rates will come out before the ap rates.
the supersaver usually comes out in between.

this year, the ss rates were listed for the entire year in march.

just be patient, they will come out

book your room to hold it. that is the most important thing to do, especially if you go during Easter or spring break time.

We really want to book but they tell us we can't book for 2009 yet but couldn't tell us when we would be able to - does anyone know when we will be able to reserve a room for Mar/Apr 2009?

If you call the hotel you want directly you can book a room.

I called HRH today looking for prices for Easter break. Kid's suite for 5 (Sun- Fri) is $654 PLUS tax PER NIGHT!

I called the general number first, was told mid to late August.

I called Loew's....who then transferred me to Universal Reservations. I made a reservation for March 2009. The rates are high. No rates for that time period are out right now, but I was informed to call and modify my reservation when they would come out.

You can't reserve over the net....you have to call.

Yay!!! Took the advice and phoned hotel direct rather than 'universal' and have made our booking:cool1:

Just a FYI but both HArd Rock and Portifino bay are sold out for the weekend of March 27th and 28th.

Blimey! We're lucky then as we arrive on 29th for 5 nights - glad we didn't decide to fly out on the Friday or Saturday!

Do you know if there is a particular reason it woud be sold out so far head for that weekend?

For all those that called and booked, did you give them a Loewsfirst membership number to add to your reservation and were you able to use the Loewsfirst upgrades when you booked? I'm wondering if the website isn't allowing 2009 bookings because Loews is waiting until they have all members reclassified to their new levels.

I called on 7/6 and made our ressie for Feb 09 and they took my LoewsFirst number (which really means nothing, for us, anymore :( ). We didn't get an upgrade or anything as I was just blue. Weird that she did take the number and asked if our preference was still milk and cookies...

We mentioned that we had the Loews card (never used it before ---- it says we are 'blue', but I have no idea what we are now --- from what I gather, we are basically 'nothing').

Anyhow, she asked what 'welcoming gift' we wanted. We didn't ask about the upgrades or anything like that.

I suppose it doesn't matter anymore.

We're not members or cardholders or anything and that was never mentioned one way or the other.
