Wow! I had no idea they even planned to come back here- although that is a bad time of year in general for me. Between Scrap pink,sdv, and now ckc i am doomed!

Oh, absolutely! It's just that the waiting is so hard! We're almost out of the Home Study though and it will be so great to be on to the next step

YAY - no whiners! It was so embarrassing with her - when she got up to use the restroom I had to apologize to our table-mates for her attitude. I kept calling DH and my BFF (who doesn't scrap) to complain about her. That's how I know SDV is so awesome - despite her and me catching a cold the last day, I still had a blast!!

Last night DH and I talked about it and he wants to go on a ski vacation with his buddies and I want to do SDV so we've agreed we can each do our own thing - that way at least one of us is in town if the adoption agency needs us. So unless we have our little one by then, I'm in (of course I'm praying that I won't be able to go because that means our adoption is happening!!) I'll be keeping an eye on the boards for all the details . . .

ETA: Do we know which Resort in 2009? Did I miss that?

SDV is a scrapbook retreat. Dream Events Inc is an event planner company that has events up and down the East Coast and into the Mid West. The one we are talking about is in Orlando at Disney. You can book up to a 4 day stay and they open the convention center for a huge crop, this year we had 653 registered scrappers.

the room is open all night, there are vendors, prizes, contests, and classes. The packages include the cost of the room (prices vary on length of stay and number of roommates) and typically include 1 meal per day.
