It's not just our teens. My husband is dying for me to ask you to pick up some of the Dr Who miniature game figures and bring them on the cruise. I told him I would work up to it. LOL - so if all else fails we could do an even exchange, Dr Who toys for dress.

I've got a quiet day today, my mum doesn't need me, so I'm going to go into town to sort out some errands, then I'm going to either have a walk or do my exercise DVD, and then I'm going to colour my hair as there are far too many grey hairs showing

Whenever I buy summer stuff before a cruise, I always think...this will be good for the cruise I bought a couple of sleeveless and short sleeved shirts and 2 pair of shorts. I also bought a bathing suit cover up (I'm not ready to buy a bathing suit until I lose more weight).

Have you bought anything for the cruise yet (I know you've picked up some FE things)?

WTG on the 8 pounds - that is great news! I am not optimistic for weight loss this week - I was BAD last night again! I might not go for weigh in - LOL I'll wait a week! I just can't deal w/that 'gain' at the scale!

I can't believe you are buying stuff already - Good for you!!! I haven't even thought about buying anything.. I need to lose a LOT more before I purchase anything!! I haven't even figured out what to bring/buy for our trip coming up to SC after easter - which is RARE for me, usually I am on the ball w/those kinda things - but, time has been limited lately!!!

I am off today, have a bit of foodshopping to do - some work to do for work at home - and maybe a nap! LOL I am getting a bit lazy in my old age! Actually, I think I am inspired to take out the summer totes and look through and see what's what - and maybe get that together - we are going down to my Dad's in less than 2 weeks and I have NOTHING - so, Carm is home till 11 this morning, I can have him drag the stuff out for me, and I can get to work!! At least separate what WON'T fit the boys, and figure out what they might need! I did pick up a couple of shirts for them for Easter - like to roll up and put in the baskets - boring I know, but practical!! So, they won't need shirts - and according to my father, it won't be beach weather, so, we probably don't need bathing suits - I gotta tell ya, I thought it might be good weather to do something down there, why go to Myrtle Beach - if you can't go to the beach???? Carm is itching to catch the end of spring training in FL - but, we promised my Dad we would come down and check out his place - Oh, well! So, we go and suffer for a few days -

I've been a busy bee this morning, I've ran my errands in town, picked up somthing for Kerry, bought my train tickets for Thursday, stripped all the beds and gotten rid of those pesky grey hairs

I'm going to chill for half an hour, start remaking the beds and then I'll do my exercises after lunch

Will the weather be any better at Myrtle Beach, it sounds like a lovely place. How long are you going to be away at your dads ?

The fil cam eover last night to supposedly visit the kids yah right and he didn't even wish her a happy b day or give her a present. She is pretty hurt considering he made a point of coming over the day before for sarah's b day. They are asses..I really hate them. O.k. i am done now.

I have to vent here ..I find it pretty darn sad when people we haven't known that long remember her b day and her own grandfather snubs her last night.. The fil cam eover last night to supposedly visit the kids yah right and he didn't even wish her a happy b day or give her a present. She is pretty hurt considering he made a point of coming over the day before for sarah's b day. They are asses..I really hate them. O.k. i am done now.

Even at Christmas he'll send me an email and saying that he's gonna send the kids something and nothing comes. He's a peach. This is a super special birthday and there is no excuse for not remembering; unless of course he shows up today with a new car Hope you guys have a great day!

Why do we let these people get to us Michele ? After years of disappointments, we still get upset even though we know how they're going to act. Thankfully both sides of the our family are generous with their money - they've just never been generous with their time

I'll tell you a little story. We used to have a beautiful Labrador, and when my dad lost his job, he came here everyday to walk the dog. It drove Paul up the wall, that he'd drive over here in the sun, rain and even snow to take the dog out. Unfortuately our dog died about 6 years ago, and I bet my dad hasn't been here more than about 10 times in all that time (not that Paul's complaining )

I could tell you lots and lots of stories about how useless the grandparents are, but I'd be waffling on forever

It's a disgrace that Nicole's grandad has forgotten her birthday, but I'm sure that you will make it up - try not to let him ruin her day

So, what are her plans for today ? When is the concert that she's going to ? Are you doing anything special tonight ?

Thanks mandy, The concert is called taste of chaos..it is really a mix of 5 bands playing that she likes it is on the 20th so for tonight it is just a night out with the family and the bf at outback. I am going to get her some balloons and flowers later and decorate her room all pretty with streamers etc.

Jerk is not strong enough a word..lol..If he hadn't come over last night it wouldn't be such a big deal but he did and now she is all hurt..I feel like a momma bear protecting her cub and want to go over to their house and tell them off.
