Mandy, I have to find the picture of me picking Stitch's nose. It got quite the reaction from him. Of course I have no idea where it is so trying to find it will be an adventure.

OK dug out some cruise pictures:

Well, Keegan has a "patch" on one of his lungs. They aren't sure if it's pneumonia or something else just yet. They are treating him with antibiotics for 5 days and doing another chest x-ray Tuesday. If it's not gone, he needs a CT scan. The doctor said both he and the radiologist says it's an atypical patch for pnuemonia, and they said since he hasn't been coughing it may not be. I asked what else it could be and he said he didn't want me "thinking bad thoughts" but that it could be lymphoma among other things and they want to rule this out first. I did look up the signs for pneumonia and he had several of them--a fever, chest pain, shortness of breath, and a headache. Of course I'm petrified and don't even want to "think bad thoughts." I'm really, really praying it's pneumonia. I'm glad I didn't listen to the nurse who just thought it was his asthma.

You poor thing you must be terrified:hug: Please try not to think of all the what ifs. I'm sure the antibiotics will clear it up. Please let us know if we can help and feel free to vent here at any time!!!:grouphug: I'm saying a prayer for Keegan:goodvibes

Danielle, how stressfull -my prayers are with you. I'm sure everything will turn out fine try not to worry too much and try to stay positive.

Danielle-

I will say many prayers for you. I completely understand what you are feeling as we had a recent scare of the same kind with Ian last week. :grouphug:

 Oh Danielle, please try not to worry too much. I know as a parent we all panic and think the worse in different situations, but as you say, he has several symptoms for pneumonia, so there's a very big chance that that is what he has got. Here's hoping that the antibiotics kick in quickly :thumbsup2

:cheer2: :cheer2: I'm thrilled to bits to let you know that I lost 4 lbs when I weighed myself this morning :cheer2: :cheer2:

Not a cake, sweet, chocolate or chip has passed my lips this week. I'm hoping to keep up my strict regime for another week or two and then I'll gradually start having some 'fun' food. I'm also hoping to get back to my exercise DVD next week, now that illnesses seem to have left our house

HUGS to you Danielle! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I am thinking of you!

Sorry I haven't been around much... Since our hospital stint it has been a crazy week..

Here is where we stand:
We are headed to Boston Children's . Our Ped got the call yesterday. They will be
calling us to set it up..

In a nutshell...

We had our wonderful ICU Stint...

On Tuesday Em woke up loagie from a nap but once she ate she was
normal. Like in 15 minutes she was normal. Now we check her blood
sugar when she starts acting weird - like yesterday morning.. It was
64.. We fed her and she was fine..

So here are the questions... Was the seizure caused by whatever
undaignosed muscle issue we are dealing with? Was it caused by the
illness or the hypoglycemia ? Why is she hypoglycemic? Is it all
related?

Our Ped feels we need a fresh perspective. Our Neuro in Burlington
wants to put her on seizure meds. We (including our Ped) are not in a
yank after 1 seizure, but for some reason he is... We need someone to
look at the whole picture so Patty had calls in to CHB and St
Christophers in Philly. Who ever could get us in first would be where
we would go. Boston called yesterday afternoon..

I am very happy to have her seen at a BIGGER hospital. Someone has got
to have seen a child like Em..

I hope you are all doing well! I am reading when I can. I am hoping to get on more this weekend.. I mis just hanging out with you guys!:goodvibes

Hey Jen

It sounds like you've had a busy and stressful week. I think it's great that you're going to get a 2nd opinion for Em. I too, wouldn't be in a hurry to put her on medication until someone else had seen her - but thankfully, you seem to be handling her blood sugar well

When do you think you'll get the call for Boston ? Do you think they'll see her soon ? I hope so

:grouphug: We're missing you too, I hope you're able to join us more over the weekend

Take care

Morning Jen-

It's good to get another perspective. I'm glad you got in to Boston hopefully it will be something super simple :grouphug: I will add Em to my prayers. Keep us posted.

Good afternoon Mandy. Hope you had a great night. DH mentioned to me yesterday at dinner that instead of Disney he wants to take Ian to Cardiff at the end of August. They have a special hotel deal that includes a family pass to the Dr Who exhibit, a map with all the locations, and a remote control dalek. I told him the air alone would cost more that their entire trip to Disney and that he can't possibly go to UK without me. We'll see what happens.

He wants to act but with no experience it's tough. One of his holds was for a commercial in the Boston area. He has two agents, one in Boston and one in NYC. We go to the city alot. We will be going next week to get his new head shots taken. I wish we lived closer to the city it would make auditioning alot easier. His last go-see was for a print ad for the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. Unfortunately he didn't get that.

That is SO cool - and he is so cute - keep taking him to the city, I am sure he will make-it in the biz! You just have to keep it up!

Have fun Laurie!!! Check in when you get home from the Doctor:goodvibes

Thanks for all the well wishes girls! Dominic has an ear infection - which is what he said it was! He feels ok though - so, that is good!! I didn't get home until 9:30 last night though, I was out of the docs pretty quick, but, went to CVS for the Rx - UGH that was a nightmare!!

Kids are off from school today for SNOW! :scared1:

Hope the doctor gives him something to feel better laurie. Yes you did tell me you were glad i was back..Thanks:hug: i guess we won't be discussing survivor tonight until you can watch your tape...:) Have a nice dinner. No hershey kisses though:thumbsup2

So, I watched Survivor and Idol this morning... Poor Yau - I liked that old man! And Idol - I wasn't surprised with who got voted off!! As long as Michael Johns is still there - I'll be watching! :rolleyes1

LOVE hershey's kisses. I neglected to tell you all that I went to Target and the Valentine's stuff was 90% off!!!:cool1: I got some awesome stuff for goody bags for Syd's party and someone might have bought themselves an entire box of chocolates (and ate it all):rolleyes1

That sale is so great - I love when they have those after-holiday sales -Target RULES! And candy for you!! VERY NICE!!

Isn't it Sydney's bday today???

Hey Sandy, I could understand any Dr Who/Torchwood fan wanting to visit Cardiff - but compared to WDW, they would find the place disappointing. I liked Cardiff, (infact I'm going to be organising a DIS Girly weekend away there at the end of September on the UK Community) but there isn't that much to do there. If the exhibition they're planning on visiting is the one I went to, then they'll be in and out in 30 minutes, it really is quite small

My friend Sue (who was also a Moderator on the UK Community) lives in Cardiff, and she and her daughter were once extras in one of the Dr. Who episodes. It was the one where there was a wedding (I haven't seen it myself)

If it's a short trip, then I guess it wouldn't be so bad, but I can honestly say WDW would win hands down for me :)

Oh no ! Not another one poorly. I hope Dominic is feeling better soon

Have a lovely time with your friend

I just wanted to show you all this picture of me and Stitch that was taken in Dec '07

CIMG0658.jpg

It's a terrible picture of me, but it makes me laugh, cos just as Paul took the photo, Stitch blew a raspberry in my ear - the look on my face was priceless :rotfl: :rotfl:
Mandy, that pic is GREAT!! I LOVE IT!!!

Oh, dinner was great - I order lame grilled chicken, brown rice, and salad - I'D BETTER LOSE MORE THAN A POUND NEXT WEEK! ugh Talk about sacrifice!!!

Suzanne if you keep eating those choclates by yourself we might not have to throw food at you by the pool...lol j/k:rotfl2:

You'll be throwing stuff at me, cause I'll be so skinny!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
OK dug out some cruise pictures:

Can you tell what my biggest bill on the cruise is? Shutters sees me comin and says - "oh boy we are gonna make some $ today":lmao:

OMG - Shutters - we get the package every time - and it is EXPENSIVE - but, I love the pics - I am telling you, then need the photopass, so you can go home and buy the whole disk - but, I guess then they'd make NO money - yeah right? :rolleyes1 DH always says he isn't going to get the package, we'll just get a few pics - but, he NEVER wins that one! ;)
