Mandy you're so organized :) I am never that organized. Except when it comes to vacation of course. :rotfl2:

LOL, I am boringly organised :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It's cos I'm a Capricorn :thumbsup2 I arrange a lot of Secret Exchanges on the UK Community, so I'm used to getting people to PM me about things they like :)

Had another idea for the teens on our cruise. My daughter would love to get to know others through email or IM (she has an AIM acct). She is 16 and on the last cruise she was on she didn't go to the teen club because she didn't know anyone. Thought it might be fun for her if she and her friend Bethany could get to know some other teens before this cruise. Feel free to PM me with your teens email if they would be interested.

Great idea Laurie - they could always give a gift each day and it could remain a truly secret Mickey :)

For the FE gifts. You can give them on whatever day you like, whatever time of day you would like. We usually give ours on pirate night.pirate:

With the kids, not necessarily every day, but one 'big' gift - not that it has to be big or expensive, ya know..

The other thing is, do we shop for each person, like Mandy is saying, or do we get things in general? Originally I was thinking of getting each person/family the same kind of gift. I am guessing we gear it toward the families, right? I think us ladies should do a secret Mickey too -

Mandy - when you organize the exchanges on the UK boards - what is that for? My sis is in w/a Dis wedding board and they have exchanges all the time, halloween, christmas, valentines, they spend like $25 each and send it to their person.. it sounds nice, and she has gotten some really nice things!

Ya know what I was just thinking?? What happens after this cruise, :sad1: :sad1: our group here will be all broken up!! :sad2: I guess while on board we'll all have to book together again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We usually give the same gift to all the families. I make little gift bags.

I think it's really up to you, you can either arrange a 'Family Gift Bag' or an 'Individual Gift Bag', it's really up to you - just remember it's a bit of fun, we don't want anyone stressing about the extra cost. The ideas that people give are just to help people if they're short of ideas

We have an Easter, Summer, Hallowe'en, Christmas Decoration and Secret Santa exchange on the UK Community, where everyone sends me a PM of what they like, then I team them up with someone and they buy a present for that person. We spend roughly $20 on each other and in the past I have received some lovely gifts :thumbsup2

LOL, I still keep in touch with my friends from our Jan '07 Cruise, they are a great bunch, we chat daily and would love to Meet up on a Cruise in the future

We usually give the same gift to all the families. I make little gift bags.

I think I'll make little gift bags up too - I think this is going to be fun

What are your plans for today ? I'm going into town soon and the girls are going ice-skating with their friends. Other than that, I'll be back on here later

Have a great day everyone :thumbsup2

What might be an idea, would be to send me a PM with the names of everyone in your family and then put an idea of what they like - for example

Mandy - likes Stitch, Mickey, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter
Paul - likes Soccer, LA Galaxy (David Beckham), Pirates,
Kerry (17) - likes Nightmare before Christmas, Tinkerbell, Hot Topic
Becky (15) - likes Stitch, Dalmatians, Nightmare before Christmas, Hot Topic
Stateroom # ****

and that could give people ideas - like if you enjoy reading, someone may get you a bookmark - that kind of thing - does that make sense ?

and then maybe we could arrange to drop things on various days, so that we don't get things all at once

Hey Girls

For those of you that are interested in taking part in the Fish Extender exchange, when you're ready you can send me a PM with the names of everyone in your room, ages of children, stateroom number and a few ideas of what they like (like above), and I'll make a start on the list.

Would you like me to send out a PM with the 1st part of the list out soon, so we can make a start on buying stuff ? Let me know what you think :)

Morning ladies..

I am home with a 6 /12 year old with a fever of 103.5... Never a dull moment in my house! I am dreaming of our cruise! It is really snowing, Sarah is sick... I can't wait for sun and sand!

How are you all?

I am home with both kids too. No school here today due to the winter storm. Got snow last night and now it's raining and icing over.

Have a great day ladies!

Morning ladies, Sorry sarah is not feeling well.
My hubby is home today:scared: he is bored already and has started rearranging my kitchen cabinets. I need to go out before i kill him...lol
He can't just sit down and relax he has to be cleaning or rearanging something when he isn't at work. If it was something of his that would be fine but it is always something of mine
Check in later Michele

Send him to our house - there's lots to clean and organize:rotfl2:

Another snow day here with schools changing from a 2 hour delay to being closed. They will now make up a day this coming Monday to make up yesterday and either make up today in March or April. I hope these 2 days off help clear out some of the germs that have been rampant. Hundreds of kids have had a stomach bug, flu and strep the last few weeks. My friend's a school aide and said 4 kids alone got sick in the lunch room Monday and the custodian was lining coffee cans with waste basket liners for other nauseous kids. Lovely.

Sarahsmom73- I hope your daughter feels better

My SIL was on her way back to work from a meeting (she's a head manager of Home Depot) in northern NJ yesterday at a 10MPH crawl when she hit a patch of ice, went down an embankment and flipped her SUV 4 times. Five truckers stopped and broke the back window to get her out since the doors were caved in and gas was leaking. She was in the ER all night and had CT scans, an MRI, x-rays and an ultrasound. Luckily, besides getting glass imbedded in the back of her head and mouth, and a lot of tenderness and bruising, she's ok. Thank goodness she had on her seatbelt or she'd have been thrown (she always buckles up, but sometimes people forget in short distances like she was traveling).

I can't wait for spring to come!!!
