yes laurie we will. My school just left an automated message that there was a security problem at my daughters school and will still be open tomorrow. I'm like what could they be any more vague. So i called the polica station and they said that the school didn't even notify them and some parent did. A student wrote on the bathroom walls that he is going to shoot up the school tomorrow and if u want to live don't be here. Omg They are still having classes tomorrow.. Not my daughter

The news report just said the threat is for monday. Now i don't if i should send her tmorrow or monday. I'm sure it is just a stupid prank but nicole is all freaked out and doesn't want to go to school now.

That's unbelievable. How can they expect you to send your kid after hearing something like that? I really don't blame any parent that would not want to send their kid to school under that kind of stress. In 5 years from now will it really matter that they missed a couple of days of school while the police check it out??? But if someone does bring a weapon to school and someone gets hurt or God forbid killed it sure will matter to that persons family in 5 years.

OMG - no you are not overreacting I would not send her either. I don't know what I would do if it happened to me. Thank goodness for small town living where everyone knows everyone. (No it's not all good)

I ate SALAD - love Weight Watchers - I am going tomorrow FINALLY haven't been there in 2 weeks, crossing my fingers for NO gain! I've been better this week w/eating, so hopefully, whatever damage I did last week, will be GONE!

I agree with Suzanne, go with your gut instinct. If it was me, then my girls would miss both days - there's no way I'd send them into school with any kind of threat going on

I just watched the news this morning and they are just replaying last nights broadcast. Basically the only new safety measure the school is doing is they can't leave for lunch and they all have to enter in one door not the 12 others. Wow i feel much better now..lol Nope she is definately not going till this is sorted out.

Nicole is staying home but sarah has school . Austin and sarah don't go to the high school yet they are in middle school the threat was for the high school. I have an appointment to get my nails done with a friend so i guess nicole is going to get hers done as well then we will probably go out for lunch.

I'm not doing too much today. My friend Natalie (who I met through the DIS a couple of years ago) came over this morning, so we had a good old natter about the DIS and Disney. For the rest of the day I will be taxi-ing the girls back to school and college after lunch - and then I'm looking forward to a couple of hours peace, before they're all home again

The girls finish school/college today for a week (as it's half term), we've not got much planned - I guess the girls will be seeing their friends - and Kerry has got her first driving lesson on Monday

I'm looking forward to a couple of lie-ins and just chilling with the girls

Then a week on Sunday I can make all my ADR's for our August trip - and we still haven't made our minds up where we want to eat

The event was "supposed" to take place on 2/5... The School ended up delaying for weather and they had police presence as well as the Emergency Response Team ready. Nothing happened but it was scary seeing him leave for school that day.

Driving lesson I dread that day...
I wish i was planning on what restaraunts to eat at for free.. I will have to wait until april when they hopefully will announce our free dining.

I'm really looking forward to trying the free dining plan. We're not going to go over the top, and I doubt we'll use all the credits - I guess it would be different if I had paid for the dining plan

We had to pay more as we're staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort (as the Pop Century and all value resorts weren't included on the UK free dining plan)

Cinderella's Royal Table - breakfast
O'Hanas Character Breakfast
Princess Storybook Breakfast (Epcot) (perhaps)
Chef Mickey's (Breakfast and perhaps Dinner too)
Tusker House - Breakfast
Yak & Yeti - Dinner (perhaps)
Restaurant Marrakesh (for me and Paul one evening)

We love the family style and buffet breakfasts, so we'll probably stick to them. I don't want to make any arrangements in the evening, as Kerry and Becky find the heat too much and like to chill in the evening back at the room with food from the food court

I'm getting quite excited about phoning WDW next weekend
