I'll catch up a bit when I get to work!!!

Have a good day at work Laurie :thumbsup2

Mandy~ Yes! I love Kim and Aggy! They crack me up!

Jen, we had a programme over here called 'Dancing on Ice' where celebs team up with a professional skaters. Aggy was on that for a while, I think she lasted 4 or 5 weeks - I think the public felt sorry for her and kept her in the competition for too long :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well I went and had my hair cut this morning, and I chuffed with it. It's a lot shorter at the back, but I've kept a bit on length at the sides :)

I took some photos of some things my friends made for our Jan '07 cruise

Here's the door magnet

and a badge (Do you call them buttons ?)

CIMG5406.jpg

I keep both of these on my fridge, I was I was creative to make these kind of things

Anyway, I'm off to do my exercise dvd now

Back soon

Mandy, the button and door magnet turned out great. We had "Verandah Man" (Andy) on our 5/2006 cruise and he designed a lot of iron- ons for t-shirts for people. This past December, one of our fellow cruisers made Disboard Mickey ear door magnets for everyone, I'll have to see if I can find it and scan it in.

Laurie, I was in the snooze pressing club this morning too.

We were outside most of yesterday afternoon playing baseball, finally enjoying the sunshine. It was in the upper 60's. The sun is even back today, but the local forecaster said we may get snow flurries tomorrow. It was very windy all night, but it's calmed down now.

Send some pics of the new haircut - I'd love to see it - and what does 'chuffed' mean?? LOL

The door magnet is great - who made that - maybe they can make us one too!!!

Back to the DVD, huh?? What about the treadmill? Remember the days when I would do the DVD in the morn, and the treadmill at night?? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Morning ladies, So did you like your haircut or didn't mandy? I really didn't get which one..lol

Laurie, I hit the snooze button today too...sarah and austin were late. I am a bad mommy...:rotfl2:

Jen,i watched hells kitchen last night. Man he was meaner than usual..lol.
What was that guy thinking choclate with seafood.

Sandy, Where are you this morning?

My parents are on their way to WDW this morning. They are checking into Saratoga Springs resort this afternoon and having dinner at Kona. I bought them a one day/one park ticket to pick up at the Will Call in Epcot tomorrow. I figure with all they've done for me in the last 5 or 6 weeks with Keegan being in and out of the doctor's offices, it was the least I can do for them. They haven't been to Epcot in 3 years and have never been on Test Track or Soarin so I made them up a little schedule to follow to make the most of their day. I wish I was there today.

Only 21 more days and a wake up and I will be there. I can't wait.

Hi everyone! My, this is a really active thread! My DD14 and I, plus my SIL and DNiece9 are booked for this cruise. We got a really great rate through DU and we are very excited!

My DD and I have been on 3-4 other Disney cruises, but it will be my SIL's and DNiece's first time! I just sent them the Passporter Cruise Guide, and I hope it will get them even more excited about the cruise. And what could be better than 2 stops in CC?!:thumbsup2

Welcome to our thread Kath1210!

We just got a call from Derek's father letting us know his 96 year old grandmother passed away during the night. We'll be heading to Pittsburgh tomorrow or Friday for the funeral (she was Jewish and they bury their dead with in 48 hours).

A few of my friends have met Verandah Man on Cruises, he seems really nice. But like I said, I don't mind door signs and pins etc - but no, no, no to t-shirts :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Send some pics of the new haircut - I'd love to see it - and what does 'chuffed' mean?? LOL

I forget that you American's don't know some of our more kooky expressions - so chuffed to bits would mean, very happy. So I am very happy with my haircut ;)

It was my friends, sons friend (or something like that) who made the magnets

I'm sure when you're ready, you'll be back on the treadmill and doing your dvd again :thumbsup2

Morning ladies, So did you like your haircut or didn't mandy? I really didn't get which one..lol

Yes I do like my haircut Michele, I'll take a photo of it when I'm dressed up a bit, I look too much of a fright at the moment :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ok, so I'm really really thinking I have a huge black cloud still lingering over me. My parents just called one exit from Downtown Disney/Saratoga Springs and they had such a blow out on one of their car tires that it messed up the bumper and door. Now they are waiting for AAA for a spare and then need to find a dealership for repairs/new tires. My mom said they want to replace all 4. They just had the car detailed and inspected yesterday. All I wanted for them was to have a great relaxing afternoon and fun day tomorrow at Epcot. I sure hope they make Kona tonight for a great meal after all is said and done.

Derek's grandmother's funeral and burial will be tomorrow afternoon. We are going to leave first thing in the morning and stay overnight. Our boys have not been to a funeral in years so I hope they do alright. At this point they don't even know about her passing away since we found out after they left for school. I had to call their schools so they will be excused from the standardized state testing.

I'm having a bunch of pictures printed out of us over the years with Derek's grandmother to share with family tomorrow. Our boys were her only great grandchildren. She lived a great 96 years and was completely cognitively with it until the end.

I have to run out to Walmart to get the boys some cheap black shoes they'll probably only wear once. They have black pants and long sleeve button down shirts, but they've outgrown their dress shoes. I know nobody's going to really be looking at their feet, but Keegan has some big springy very white/black/red Nike shoes that really wouldn't look right with dress pants. His only black shoes are Mickey crocs and cleats and I certainly can't have him wear those.

I haven't even gone through my closet to find something to wear yet. Do you think a chocolate brown long sleeve pant suit is respectful enough to wear? I don't think I have anything black in dresses other than short sleeve dresses and it's going to be very cold there. I know no one is going to care what I'm wearing, I just want it to be respectful. I have a dark gray suit too but I am not sure I can fit in it these days. I have tons of black dress pants and button down shirts, but I don't want to be too informal.

What a nice thought! Your parents must be in heaven!

Nice to meet you Kathy! My name is Jen and I am traveling with DH Mark, DD Sarah who will be celebrating her birthday a couple of weeks late on the cruise an DD Emma - 2... Oh Yes.. My MIL is also coming but staying in her own cabin. She decided this last week. Can't wait to get to know you!

I am sorry for your loss.

Well Em didn't do anything on the potty yesterday, but she did both today at my parent's house! Go Emmy!:cool1:

It is really sunny here but windy and cold!

How about you guys?

I'm sure that the chocolate brown long sleeve pant suit will be fine Danielle. I hope the funeral goes OK

Sorry to hear that your parents trip hasn't started too well, I hope they manage to get to the Kona Cafe tonight and Epcot tomorrow. I'm sure they'll still have a great time

Well Em didn't do anything on the potty yesterday, but she did both today at my parent's house! Go Emmy!:cool1:

 Well done Emma, she's doing great with the potty - you must be pleased

It's been quite warm here the last few days, it's been great. Unfortunately the weather forecast is saying wintry showers for the weekend - yuck

I think I'm going to go with the chocolate colored pant suit. At least I know it fits.

My parents got their car fixed and all new tires and are arriving at SSR in a few minutes.

I have been going through regular pictures in photo boxes looking for some more pictures of Julia (Derek's grandma) and found Keegan's first trip to Disney when he was about 18 months old. I didn't even remember DTD having such a different Lego shop and different lego creations besides Nessie (?) in the water.

I found a bunch of old cards and a letter from Derek's grandmother she wrote to us in 1996 when I was pregnant begging us to name our son Erwin after her late husband. She was a wonderful woman in all regards, but boy was she rather insistent on the name. She gave us a horrible guilt trip and even offered us money, but we just couldn't do it. I was really hoping one of his cousins would have a child and name him Erwin for her. She even told us Erwin's soul wouldn't have peace until someone was named for him. Fortunately Derek was very supportive of my insisting that we not name Keegan after Erwin and told his grandmother she was lucky I had taken "their" last name and would have our son with the same last name.

Danielle - I'm pleased that your parents have sorted out their car problems, I hope that they have a lovely time from now on

I couldn't help but smile about your GMIL insisting that you called your son Erwin, that was a bit naughty about him not resting in peace until someone was named after him - talk about guilt trip - bless her

I hope it all goes well tomorrow
