No, the Straits were created about 5.5 Million Years ago when the Atlantic Ocean broke through a tiny barrier and flooded the basin which would become the Mediterranean Sea. I read a really good article and I saw something on PBS' Nova.

Hey Jerry - I was at Epcot on Thursday and there was no one - I walked on every ride, but Soarin, but I can never find that ride empty! It was a great day and my girlfriend loved it. I think this week will be really crowded, but this weather is gorgeous! I found the perfect outfit for Walt Jr. and we need to get together soon!

Hey Debbie, Are you Red Cross folks under water? I keep thinking about you while seeing all this news about flooding. It is just horrible. Did everyone see the house that hit the bridge. OMG!

We are ok here, dodged a bullet in Northeast Ohio. But we did get 4 inches of snow this morning.

Midwest, that is a different story. They have a thousand people in shelters. One of the areas in MO is the same place I worked a flood in 1994. It is going to be a busy time for them all for sure!

Hey, our old thread is back, but closed. It's just nice that some of the ld memories are still there. I hope everyone is planning another fun adventure like the one we shared. We're going to enjoy a weekend at WDW for our 20th this weekend -- thank goodness for FFmiles and hotel points! Scott and I are both working--I LOVE my job -- medical records at a local hospital. Scott is working again , too. It's nice to get back to normal. My 13 year od just said she wants us to save for a cruise, since she likes them better than WDW. I think that's funny!

Glad to hear that things are working out for you! We all agree with your DD13 too. All my girls keep asking when we can cruise again!

Our vacation this year is a week in San Francisco. DH has a conference and the kids have spring break - sounds like a good vacation to me . We were talking about the different things to do in the city -- DD12 immediately says "Ice cream everyday and lots of movies!" Uhm, this isn't a DCL trip . We will have to make a stop at Ghiradelli Square and maybe take the ferry to Alcatraz - that will be as close to cruising as we'll get this time

Hey Everybody - I went to eat dinner last night at Cape May at the Beach Club and guess who was there - Don "Duckie" Williams. He said hello to me first - I think it was my transatlantic shirt He spent time talking with Abby and I and how much he loved our cruise and meeting everyone. He was very sweet and asked us if we are doing Panama. I hated telling him no, but he is going and very excited. Hope everyone is doing well and cannot wait to see all of you in May!!!

This will be an open house with wine and cheese and other snacks. Since there will be many from this cruise, the Panama 2005 cruise and some of my pin friends there at the same time it is a great time to get together!

I will post my room number when we arrive or PM me and I will give you my last name and you can call the resort and ask for my room. I will put a message on the voice mail.

I'm so jealous of all of you who get to meet in May at the world!!!

I'm stuck up here in rochester while youre' all going to have wonderful weather....and to make it worse I'm laid up with TWO sprained ankles (my right one is BAD) from cheerleading practice on Monday night!

Ouch! Right ankle sprains are a doublewhammy since it makes driving tough.
