 I know SEVERAL DISers who are planning to BOOK the day the summer of 2007 itineraries are posted if DCL goes to the Mediterranean.....anyone else joining us!!!! :grouphug:

i'm in depending on the price...i have already decided it will probably be a sans kids cruise or maybe just a couple...there is no way we could afford 2 rooms!!! :wizard:

Is there a "please notify me when the 2007 rates are announced list"?? If so, where can I sign on??

Thanks!

Carolyn

If the dates are good for us, we'll be aboard. I'm sure my daughter will be right there the day the summer of 2007 itineraries are posted. Wouldn't that be a great cruise? :boat: :cloud9:

We are also waiting anxiously for summer 07 rates/itineraries to come out. We would love some different ports - of course we would also love the med. cruise - but for us, it will depend on the airfare - which will be outrageous for five of us. Not sure if this would work for us. Something like the 10/11 night for next Sept. sounds great - wish they were during the summer since though since everyone is in school. Patience,

Depends on the price and date. We rebooked on board for 2007. Just waiting for dates. Our 25th anniv. is the first of May, so wherever they are for that date!

Exactly as above post, except our 25th anniversary is the last day of July. Incidently we've cruised twice before w/DCL on our anniversary date. Just waiting to reschedule the '06 ressie we have pending now. :rolleyes1

Hi,
A few quetions,

1) how do you book a 2007 cruise on board if the rates are not out yet? Do you just put down a set amount of money and they hold a stateroom for you?

2) don't understand if you say you have a 2006 cruies booked and are waiting for the 2007 to change it, how does that work?

thanks!
also waiting for 2007!!!!

While on board we chose a date for similar cruise, i.e. 7 night on the Magic for July 06 - as soon as they announce the dates for 07, we call and switch date. You also get a $200 on board stateroom credit for each stateroom booked and a 10% discount - this is for 7 night - you also need to put a $250 per person deposit right there - this is all different for 3/4 night cruises. We were told that the 10% discount might not apply to special cruises also. This is the first time we have done this. We should of done it the first time we cruised - we did not realize there was a possibility that we would be going on a fourth cruise. You can always cancel if you cannot/decide not to go.

Have I missed something? What makes everyone think that DCL may go to Europe next summer? We just did a 10 night cruise through Europe in July with our kids so I don't I would be able to get my husband to agree to it again. Just buying the plane tickets alone for the 5 of us cost $6000! Transfers to and from the ship and London was another $700. It was a trip of a lifetime though and hopefully the kids will cherish the memories forever.

I would like more info too...has there been mention of a possible med. cruise? Or another destination?

Many Castaway Club members received a survey a couple months back to determine interest levels in various alternative itineraries, including Mediterranean of a couple different lengths. That is the source of the speculation, I believe. Details can be found doing a search on older threads about the survey.

anyone secretly wishing for hawaii? or am i the only one?? :flower:

I believe they are always doing surveys to see where they might expand. I remember in 2003 after our 3-day cruise filling out a questionnaire that wanted to measure interest in the following cruise itineraries: Hawaii, Alaska, Mediterranean, etc.

Mediterranean would be nice, but my entire family is planning a 7-Day Eastern to celebrate my parents 50th wedding aniversary. If they move the Magic to Europe for the summer '07, that would put a snag in our plans :sad1:

The staff aboard the ships has been hinting about a Med cruise too. I know I for one would book the second I found out. I've already been checking everyday since I got off the Wonder for 2007 itineraries. If not Med for 2007 hopefully at least more CA cruising.

I've received a few of these. It will be interesting to see what they decide.

The buzz for summer release dates (2007) is now October.........as people have mentioned rumors onboard this summer have indicated Mediterranean...... :grouphug: there is a group of us on the 7/30/05 West Coast cruise that are totally committing to a MED cruise in 2007......it would be SO cool to add more DISers to the mix. :cloud9: .............WE HAD SUCH AN AMAZING CRUISE THIS SUMMER with our DIS friends.. :cool1: .......we totally hung out all week like old friends. ....................I hope the MED cruise happens.........who else is in!! :confused3
