2007 Packages

I booked a reservation for Pop Century, for Jan.07 and just received notification of a rate change.....from $99. per night to $88. per night.

My question is when do you think the packages will be out for that time frame? Hopefully the nightly rate will go even lower than the $88. Do you think it will?

I called Disney and they say the '07 packages should be released in June sometime.

The room-only rates for 2006 were released on May 18, 2005. 2006 MYW packages were released on June 30, 2005. AAA packages for 2006 were release on July 1, 2005.

I would say yes they should. When we booked in July 04 for Feb of it started out at 77 a night. I called back in November and asked for a better rate,and got $55 a night!
With that savings we where able to get the prince and princess plan, added for nothing! I will always call and ask for a better rate it never hurts to ask!

What is the prince and princess plan?

They no longer offer the Prince/Princess plan add-on.

The reason the rate went down on your reservation is that they base 2007 rates (or any year that you book before rates are released) on the 2006 regular rates, then adjust them once the 2007 rates are confirmed and updated in their system.

I expect packages to come out in late June as well (again, just based on how Disney has done this in the past and their 500 day system limitation.)

I am anxiously awaiting the 2007 packages to be released also. More specifically the AAA packages. Unfortunately, my rate won't be going down because our trip falls within the new "summer season". Just my luck!!!

Yes, the prince and princess plan is no longer available! It got us a character meal, and special seating all most shows. I was just saying that's not something we would have done if not for the savings.
Also I think Disney needs to rethink not getting 2007 packages out sooner.
I take months to plan our vacation, and it would be helpful to have everything done sooner! I have seen a lot people saying they are waiting, for the new packages, as am I! Don't know why disney doesn't get this!
