2007 Packages...i Have The Official Date!

Just got word from AAA headquarters that the reservations for 2007 open on the 6th of August!!!

Maybe they know more than CRO, talked to them yesterday and they said 2 weeks. Let's hope for August 6th!

Or maybe Disney agents have jobs to worry about and cannot release information before they have permission. I have many friends who work at Disney and they could seriously lose their jobs if they released information before they were given permission to do so.

And maybe AAA agents were asked not to broadcast the information but because their jobs are not at risk they do not feel the need to comply with such a request.

I can imagine how frustrated CMs at CRO/WDTC must get when they have information they cannot share and then, if they read the DIS boards, have to read comments like that of some of the posters who seem to jump at the chance to cast the CMs in a negative light as being unknowledgeable or unfriendly.

Disney has not officially announced their 2007 packages or given a booking start date for them. I imagine they must be releasing the package information to their travel agent partners (AAA being the biggest) in preparation for booking, hence the information from the OP. My guess would be that all 2007 packages (not including special seasonal offers like PIN codes) will be available at the same time so if the date posted by the OP is correct then it probably applies for non-AAA packages as well.

I just emailed my AAA agent to see what she knows. She is going on vacation and I want her to check before she leaves. I would pass out dead away if Disney releases them while my wonderfully sweet agent was away. I guess it would be okay because we do have the "basic" package booked already so I suppose I don't have to panic!!!

Well, I called today to my AAA agent and she told me that on Monday August 7. But is not an official Disney announcement. It's more of a insight info... Just book my rooms only to AKL....

Does anyone know if this is for AAA packages only? The AAA room only reservations discount hasn't been released yet either.

I think CRO always says to try back in 2 weeks, no matter what is going on!

If they release them this early it probably would be the 7th which would be the start of the Monday work week for travel agents. If they open it sunday or sooner then Hot Dog I am ready to finish booking my Honeymoon. I have a feeling if they release them it will be Monday the 7th, but something tells me it will be Mid-August as bad as I hate to say it if not pushed back further than that. Seems like they either can't get hte new comp system to work right, or cannot figure out wha tto do for Year of Million Dreams. I have read that some have been told that there were no major changes to the packages which leads me to believe we are not going to be seeing any really nice pixie dusted packages/specials, or incentives. ::::::::::Here is to wishing::::::::
I am foremost more worried about making my honeymoon the most magical memory in my life so come on Disney no more hold ups.

I'm an aaa agent and we haven't heard anything. I ask CM's every day and they keep saying end of august.

When I also read that it would be released on the 6th I was trying not to get all hopeful cause I was told mid=end of september, and the earliest end of aug-beg of sept. I called just last week and was told the same thing, so hopefully they got it all worked out and are ready, but I am not going to get my hopes up. Either way I have to to adr's now so that's my main focal at this point I have basic booked and airline already.

I'm fairly sure that in the past, Disney has released new rates, new specials, etc. on Sundays. I can remember waking up, checking my email and discovered some new special rate or that they'd finally released something on Sunday mornings and thinking it was crazy. I wonder if maybe they release on Sunday to give them a day to work out the bugs before most TA's are at work.

I just came from my local AAA office. I have been told that in order to get the package I want, that I will have to have a AAA TA. While I was sitting there, the TA called WDW to inquire about a package price for July 2007. She was told that they would be out on Sunday. She will call me Monday with the information, but you know I will be on the website as soon as my eyes pop open on Sunday morning!
