I just received this survey. As I was taking it I copied and pasted a few items that you may find intersting. I am now dying for the 2007 itineraries to come out. ALASKA would be my first choice! But the Mediterranean 10 day would be awesome too..better start saving my $$ now.

I would sign up for an Alaskan cruise in a minute!

It looks like their pricing is messed up....for a 7 night Mexican cruise for the first two people in an inside cabin it is $2,899 each....that can't be right compared to the Alaskan cruise at $1,799 each. I think something is wrong there.

So that means for two people to book an inside cabin on a 7 night Mexican cruise would be almost $6,000.00???? Way too high....DCL will be pricing themselves out of the market.

All great trips. I would probably lean towards the European ones though because there are a LOT of kid/family friendly cruises in Alaska, but the European cruises are still pretty "grown up." I initially thought I wouldn't do Europe as a cruise with the kids because there wouldn't be enough time to really see much. But, combine the cruise with a few land stops afterwards for a longer vacation and it would be great.

I didn't get the survey though, so I guess they don't care what I think! :rotfl:

My head is spinning, I have no idea what I would pick!!

Probably Alaska - Have always wanted to go - plus the price is cheaper!

I agree with mmouse - DCL is pricing themselves out of the mexican market -

although Spain and Italy..........oh, I am going to be in dreamland all day!!!

Does anyone know what the weather is like on an Alaskan Cruise? I prefer Warm climates myself since I live in a part of the country where winter is half the year! Can you still swim on a cruise like that? :confused3
I hope they don't make all their cruises like that for 2007! We were planning on a 7 day carribean cruise in 2007.

I would book any of those European Cruises in a second! ! !

The weather can be cool in Alaska, even in the summer. That is where the other lines would beat Disney in the Alaskan market, in my book.. A lot of other lines have at least one pool which is covered for coooler weather. On DCL it would totally open and possibly too cool to swim.

I agree too! I'd do the European ones any day.

Also, I really don't think the Disney ships are really built for Alaskan Cruises. Most of the Alaskan cruise boats have heated indoor pools, lots of areas to sit and look at the scenery. I'd pick another line for an Alaskan Cruise! JMHO...

any of the cruise i will book in a second!!!! :Pinkbounc

We'd opt for either 7 or 10 days out of Barcelona as it would be great for us not having to pay an arm and a leg for airfares to get on a DCL-ship ;)

Thanks for posting this :wave2:

I agree that I prefer a cruise to warmer weather myself, although some of those Mediteranean cruises sound wonderful :cloud9: Hhmm, DH was considering not booking a cruise for 2006, but if this is the direction DCL is looking to go for 2007 ... maybe I can convince DH we want to cruise in 2006 and skip 2007 :confused3 :teeth:

Wish we could afford it. I would love to do one of the European cruises....and that will be the year of our 25th wedding anniversary....but I don't see how it could happen financially, but you never know. I wonder when they will decide. Seems like we would need a lot of time to save up for these!

I have no interest in an Alaskan cruise, although DH is dying to take one. However we are both very interested in taking a Mediterranean cruise. We would HIGHLY consider taking the 10-day if DCL really went with it. I have been checking rates on Celebrity as well....I'd pay a bit more to sail with DCL any day. It would be the best of both worlds for us....we'd "broaden" our vacationing horizons a bit (we have been doing mainly just Disney lately, either CA or FL.) and still be able to get what we love with DCL.

I'd love to do all of them. Especially the Mediterranean one. They are all expensive, unfortunatey DCL isn't the cheapest cruise line. The most affordable time to sail is during the off season, and hurricane season. We've always sailed in late Jan/early March, and the weather was great on all of the cruises except at CC on our last one. We absolutely love DCL, but when the kids are older we'd like to try some other cruise lines. You can take 10 and 14 day cruises on other lines for almost the same price as a 7 day with DCL.

For all of the itineraries posted DCL is priced very high. We have done 2 cruises to alaska in Minisuites for less. We just booked a 7 day Med cruise for May of 2006 for DH and I. We are in a Suite with Concierge service and a Butler for less than what DCL has listed for their inside cabin for a possible Med cruise. Considering Med and Alaska cruises are port intensive many folks consider the ship just a nice place to sleep and eat. Many shore excursions last 8-9 hrs and there are not alot of sea days.

Believe it or not for those DCL prices you could cruise one of the Ultra Lux All Suite lines like Raddison or Silversea which includes all beverages including liquor and a no tipping policy.

I think we all know you can cruise much less on nearly every other line than what it costs to sail on DCL. That being said, for whatever reason, and I am sure all of us have different reasons, most of us here (at least) continue to sail on DCL despite the obvious price hike. If we had to book today and choose between the same Med intinerary on Celebrity or DCL, it would be a VERY tough choice, even with the huge price difference. I haven't figured out if I love cruising, or if I just love cruising on DCL. I really would rather stick with DCL than to find out the hard way, especially on a once in a lifetime cruise like the Mediterranean would be for us.

Come to Southampton
I can't believe it could be possible the Magic in my back yard, no transatlantic flights just a 30min car ride.
Send the magic to us I promise we'd look after her ............ of course we might not let her come back :flower:
repositioning would be fun an Atlantic crossing wdw at one end and disney resort Paris at the other
