Has anyone read the part on "Pal Mickey" on p. 347? Am I naive or is it someone's personal addition that Mickey will say, "I could totally get baked on a good joint right about now. Are you holding?" In all honesty, that made me laugh more than I had all day!!

Len- I see your postings a lot....you must know the story behind this!

I doubt it. there would be no way to hack the main pal mickey computer servers and if a doll was hacked, first time it contacted a pal mickey server in the parks the servers would reload the pal mickeys database with all new info.

Th UG makes me laugh alot, and I think humor is definitely needed when planning a WDW trip. Thanks to len and the other UG folks!

I was rolling on the floor in tears when I read that... that's what I love about the UOG....

ok, here is a fun pal mickey rumor,
Pal Mickey does not react well if you mistakenly take him to Universal,
and will scream out, "It burns! It burns! Oh, I can't stand the searing pain!.

:rotfl2:

Yeah, I almost laughed orange juice through my nose the first time reading that. I believe that's Bob's writing. Too funny. It's not a real Pal Mickey saying, of course.

drcorey, ROFL. What if Pal Mickey had a built-in GPS to know when he's in another theme park? Imagine the phrases:

"What's that smell?"
"That was great - NOT!"
"My food smells funny. What does e-coli taste like?"

We could call it "Pal Mickey - Rogue Edition." I'm sure there's a market for it.

Len

I was wondering about that, too! I was waiting for a "just joking," or "no, not really" comment (like the UG usually has after a joke), but there wasn't anything!

I was wondering if someone slipped it in as a joke and it somehow got past the Editor..... ;) It's a little out there for a Disney guide. :rotfl:

Love the UG2006 -

As for "a little out there for a Disney guide," I definitely read the s___ word in one of those reader's comments. ;) I had to read it again to make sure I was reading correctly. Love this version: great job of keeping me entertained while still being extremely informative.

:rotfl2: I bought my first UG after reading this quote (as part of an outraged comment/review by a person who thinks it is his mission in life to control what other people read). There are hundreds of Disney guides that provide highly sanitized information, thank goodness there is one that is different. I love the Unofficial Guide :goodvibes

what page?

That is in the 2005 edition as well. The UG is full of little jokes. That one got the best laugh out of me though!!! :rotfl2:

My all time favortie UG joke is a cartoon of all various sizes, shapes, and gender of people waiting in line for the ladie's room with the caption, "Make sure you know what you are standing in line for." Maybe I'm just a little twisted, but that struck my funny bone.

That's weird, in the 2005 UG it actually says "(JOKE!)" after the Pal Mickey quote. I don't know why they took that out of the 2006 UG.

I nearly wet myself when I read that. :rotfl2:

I immediately tried to read it to my wife, but was laughing so hard I handed the book to her, and asked her to read the whole paragraph out loud. :rotfl2:

Her response was the same as mine.

That joke was in the 2005 -- IMHO it was the best one, so absolutely worth keeping!

I read that and thought the same thing. I was surprised but definately amused, haha.

Not funny. Pal Mickey is SUCH a poser. He's always like "dude, I'll match your bowl later, I forgot my stash at Goofy's..." And then when you smoke him up he bogarts the joint so much you never get any yourself...
