We haven't even gone on their first trip yet in December, but I'm already plotting to surprise the kids and DH with a trip next June for their sixth birthday (and celebrate entering Kindergarten)! Want to save tons of money this next trip (splurging for the GF in December) and stay in the Values. We would actually have chosen to stay in the ASMo this trip, but Pop Warner will be there that week.

So, I'd really like to book 2 adjoining rooms in the Values. Having never stayed at any, which is the best? Which one has the best and easiest bus transportation? Can you get a King room adjoining a doubles room? Which value has the best pool?

Also, 2 of my children have Cerebral Palsy and have trouble walking long distances. Which buildings, floors, etc would be the best? Prefer to be close to the bus stop and food court and as quiet as possible (LOL!). I know they will love the theming of the Values. It looks like a ton of fun!

I'm getting an AP for our Dec trip and DDE, so hopefully I'll be able to get an AP rate next summer.

If you have any other advice or tips, I'd appreciate it!

thanks!

You sound like me. I have the December 2005 trip planned and now it's on to the July/August 2006 trip planning! We stayed at Pop last June and we loved it. Pop does not share busses with any other resort. The only problem we had was leaving the MK one night after the 2nd Spectro Magic and we had to wait for 20 minutes for a bus. Our room was in the 70's building, on the corner close to the food court. We were on the first floor and it was a short walk to the food court and bus stop. No problems with noise, although there is always the chance of having noisy neighbors at any resort. We loved Pop and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We are staying at POFQ in December because I wanted to try something different for my 40th birthday. We stayed at All Star Music, but that was 10 years ago. We did enjoy our stay then. Hope this helps. :sunny:

Hi triplefigs! I've never stayed at a value (although we are considering it for our next trip), but wanted to mention that you should get a GAC to help with your children w/ Cerebral Palsy. And be sure to visit us over on the DisAbilities board! ;)

Thanks. I have been over there and posted several times. Everyone has been a great help! Looking forward to our Dec trip and then, hopefully, next summer!

POP would be my choice. You can either pay the extra $ and book adjoining "preferred rooms" in the 60's building; or request adjointing rooms in 50's or 70's. I would think if you specify "medical reasons" you would get rooms requiring the least distance to get to the food court & buses.

The sports teams; cheerleading squads, etc. normally stay at the All Stars, not POP. Also, it doesn't share a bus with any other resort.

Have wonderful trips!!!

I loved POP! I'm sure your kids would love the brightly colored icons! If you have any questions, just let me know! :)
