2006 Summer Block Party/Merry Mixer ???

Hi,

I have seen on the DVC Member Website that they had a Summer Block Party and Merry Mixers last year. Can anyone tell me, was that just last year or do they have these every year? It doesn't say anything about this year.

Has anyone attended either, can you tell me what you thought?

DS and I went to the Member Merry Mixer this past December...it was really nice! They have sugar cookies, hot and cold apple cider, and water for free, with a cash bar. There are reindeer games, DJ and dancing, craft activity for the kids, and each family received a pewter Christmas ornament. We enjoyed it! I've got some photos that I could upload and post if you'd like...just let me know.

I'm interested if they have the summer parties planned and if anyone knows if I can take my Dsis and Dniece who'll be with me on this trip. I doubt it, but doesn't hurt to ask.

The summer party was fun. It was at Pleasure Island, and all the games were free. You got two free tickets for treat items like ice cream, popcorn, etc., and got entered in a drawing for an enormous goodie basket. They also had things going on inside one of the buildings. It was a good time.
