2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006

Good Morning Everyone! Just checking in real quick this morning to say hello to all my friends here! Staying over at SSR for a quick land stay before heading over to the Magic tomorrow. The 4 day trip on the Wonder was a bit on the rocky side thanks to that storm, Andrea, but I had a fun time with my son and his wife and they were quite impressed with the beauty of the Disney ship and all that there is to do. We had 2 days at CC since the weather was so different for this time of year but what can a person do? A second day on CC was a fun suprise for everyone!

Have to get to doing laundry in between trips so I'll check in when I'm on the Magic for that long trip across the Atlantic - hopefully a smoother ride. We shall see ya!

Almost forgot to add - that while driving over to my room after check-in yesterday, I saw Julie and Matt so I pulled over for a quick "hello" and then went to my room. It's still amazing to me how I actually see people from the DIS here at the world that I know.

Hi Mary, nice to see you checking in between cruises. Glad your first cruise wasn't ruined by the weather.

Funny, you just never know who you will run into at Disney World. You seem to do it regularly. As I remember, it was only a few months ago as I was walking through the line at Mickey's Philharmagic when I hear someone calling my name and there's Mary!

I've been kind of busy lately but I wanted to come here to say

HAPPY (early) MOTHER'S DAY EVERYONE!!!!!

We're heading to the hospital in a mear 6 hours to have a baby. If all goes well we'll be coming home as a family of four on Sunday.

Robin, I'm thinking of you today. I hope everything goes well and I can't wait to hear about Squirt!

We need some help from our Dis friends. We are leaving for LA on Tuesday. We will be there from Tues to Sun. We are all set for Tues to Fri. (Disneyland and work events. This is the trip I won from work). We are renting a car for the week. But where to stay and what to do for Sat & Sun. We wanted to spend more time at Dland, but that is Pirates premiere weekend and they are booked. HELP!!!

Cutting it VERY close. Stay at a Good Neighbor hotel. Since you have a car it would be easy to transfer hotels. PM me if you need some help.

The other issue is that there is too many options!!! We would stay near the ocean also. Any suggesstions? We have never been to CA and are not sure of where to stay. Thanks for the help

don't stay too far away!!
I agree with Roxann, stay at a good neighbor hotel.
Drive to the beach. Other things I recommend are the Warner Brothers studio tour and the starline tour bus. ( Do a bus not one of their vans.)

I got an early mothers day gift yesterday!!!...My aunt who is also my god mother was going to buy me a dooney and bourke purse, but I told her I really wanted my Disney Cricut cartridges, so she told me to go ahead and orrder them! They are on there way!!! I cant wait to have them and use them! She is so awesome to me! BTW...I got them at Costco.com, for 64.99 each, shipped. Great deal if anyone is interested! Well, I have to get back to work! Have a great Friday!

Well we are back from our trip and we had a great time!!! The weather was great and we had such fun. We did the Disney dining plan this time and we were stuffed by the end of our trip and had 6 snack credits to use on the last day so snacks were bought to bring in to our offices! Mickey pretzels and crackers for all!

Robin - I hope all is well and everything went well with squirts delivery and wishing you an early "Happy Mothers Day" I really hope you can bring squirt home on Sunday. I can't wait to see a picture. Best of luck.

Ducky is onboard - see him walking around a lot - will attend his seminars as I love his stories. Today is DVC party and Castaway Club party not to mention a lot of other things to do - loving the verandah life! Oh, and we have Karen's favorite server for dinner - Sompong (Sammy) - what a sweetie!
