Mark,

The signature images are really cool, thanks for making them. What program did you use to make them?

Jeff

JASC Paint Shop Pro 7. If you can find it buy it, they have a new version being sold thru Corel and that one is horrible.

And I am going to tweak them some over the next few days.
1) Going to slow down the rotation a bit more. It' s more flashing them than rotating them.
2) Also going to get them all as perfectly matched as I can, I'm not happy with the contrast changes and it moving around.

Hi IleneF from a fellow Bay Stater and welcome on board!! Hi and welcome to ScrappinDeb as well as Jim and April (IWantMyDVC)!

I'm just getting back from visiting DS at college in Philly. Unfortunately, their hockey team lost but it was a good game. I

How did you get the cruise logos on top of each other? 've got about 20 pages to catch up to the rest of you so there may be more people to welcome on board! You guys have been busy! :goodvibes Annmarie

MAN! I'm finally caught up! Just in time for the next onslaught, I'm sure...

I can't believe that Curt didn't post yet... :confused3

Yep - We're in. We got a Cat. 11, Deck 7, Room #7623, Early dining. Curt and I were both calling. Although he made it through first, I got to a human while he was still on hold. We'll definitely stick with the 407 number next time - it was the only way I got through. I sure do wish I'd known how the "Dead Silence" thing was working, because I was one of the dopes that hung-up. Oh well! We're on, with our first Cat. choice, so no complaints!

I can't wait to be crazy with all of you! And Curt is just as geeked! When I was speaking with MS, I told him that they were going to have a rowdy bunch. He just laughed. He should be scared... :rotfl:

This is our first Member's Cruise, but it will be our fifth with DCL. pirate:

I finally get to add the SSMC06 logo - YAY!!!!!!!!!!! :bounce:

Karen

Hi Karen and Curt! We will be across the hall from each other. Tom and I are in room 7622. I also added the 2006 logo to my signature. I was afraid I'd jinx us if we added it before we got on board. We are staying at BCV on Saturday before the cruise and Thursday through Sunday after. Annmarie

I know what you mean some times.
I'l come home from work and some days will have double digits worth of pages to read.
Where in NY are you? I'm in Clifton Park, 15 miles north of Albany.

It's worse on days like today, where I travelled yesterday and this is my first chance to check the boards.

We live downstate from you, in Rockland County. I know Clifton Park well. Back in the spring, I was consulting in Albany on Wolf Rd.

We have a 7 megapixel camera and by the middle of day 2 (Key West), we realized that our 1GB stick was already full, because it was set on the highest setting. What a mess!! We had to have Shutters make a CD of all of our pictures for us, so that we could have more pictures for the rest of the cruise. So, we learned that we don't need it on the highest setting ALL the time and that Chris takes a LOT of pictures and we need to make sure that we have more memory.

I somehow remember reading that Shutters would create a CD for you. Do you know how much it costs (just in case I decide to leave the laptop home)? I have a 6.3 megapixel digital SLR and I don't usually like to sacrifice the image quality for more space.

Anyway, the SSMC05 cruisers that were involved just got their picture DVD/CDs last week, so they can attest that we had almost 4000 pictures and that was only for about 14 people. So, if might be interested, remember to come back to the thread AFTER the cruise, because we'll talk about it and see if we can do it again.

How did you make the DVD/CD? Did a number of poeple contribute their photos to make one big collection? That's a great idea.

Sandy, just jump in when you can. If there's anything really important that you must know, we'll fill in you.

Thanks, don't worry, I'm not shy :wave2:

The adult only tables may be smaller parties. We only had 6 at our table last cruise.

We had eight at our table during the last member cruise so that might not be the case. Annmarie

Amy and Chris are at WDW, but I'll answer this, Chris can fill in the technical specs! A bunch of us each sent our pics on a cd to them I think there were 10 or 12 of us and then Chris and Amy put them on one giant DVD. It's great because there were so many things a lot of us didn't get pictures of.

And I was another one who filled my 1GB memory stick and had to get a disc burned at Shutters, if I remember correctly, it was 9.99. The downside was it took them several hours to do it so I had to use my old crappy backup camera in the meantime, but I guess it's a good thing I brought it.

OK, I took Sunday off, Work retail...and FINALLY CAUGHT UP!!!!!
Several things, Firdt the civility...Hi everone, it was SOOOOO much fun in chat with you...OK, I abused the phone system and bypassed the anti-chat software, but hey, I am system administrator...and I OK the phone bill... but I will get a little heck over that...Oh well, I did get in...I digress... WELCOME HOME new people!!!

As far as the options go... YUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I like the 2 cruise options... 7 & 4 day Not Simultaneously though, I mean we still want all of the special guests on the 7 day cruise... Make it only for SSMC Veterans.....OK, maybe that is just as bad (in my direction) as the limitting of the 4-day...

Hey Mark, is there any chance of an '03,'06 flashing logo- we had a baby in '04 and didn't make the '04 member cruise...

Oh, Cindy, what are the chances o having a good-ole-animal-house-food-fight????? Maybe set up a Dis-Toga-Party for the sail-away partty....Or even biting contest between Diana and Ian!!!!!

Must go to work...

:jumping2:

The picture exchange was great. Chris did an amazing job. He put everything in folders by day so you saw that day through everyones eyes. Sometimes it was unique things sometimes we had all the same thing.

Like sailway - you saw shots from deck 9 and deck 10. The best thing is that in all these different views you often get to see pictures of yourself that you didn't know or remember about (like that lovely picture Cindy had of me with Cheryl).

Here is my two cents about booking the cruise. We all knew way ahead of the day and time and planned our lives around it. At exactly 9 am we all called and over the first two hours we all got through and got a room. If we were able to do that then anyone else could have done it too. The cruise did not sell out until after 4. People had over 7 hours to get through to MS. This is about the only fair way to do this. It did take some effort on our part but that is life.

Thank heavens I have been lurking or I would never catch up on this thread. I was afraid to post sooner for fear I would jinx us from getting onboard. As it was it took four phone lines and forty five minutes to get through.

My sister Janet, her friend Sue and I will be in cabin 6134. Janet and I had this cabin during our Hurricane Jeanne Magic cruise last year and like the location. It was just a coincidence we got it again but on the Wonder. Except for the long walk to the gift shops for the two pin addicts I think it will be fine. We have late seating- trying to leave the early seating open for the groups with kids.

I usually don't post often but will be lurking. Thanks to Mark for the fancy logo too.

Hi Rose and welcome to the thread. I just noticed you're from Philadelphia. DH and I were in Philly this past weekend. DS goes to St. Joe's and plays hockey there. We try to make it down for as many hockey games as possible but I have to confess . . . there was a hockey game on Friday night and we didn't go! I was afraid we wouldn't be able to get through for the member cruise call in so I told DS we wouldn't be at the game. I felt a bit bad about it but we had such a good time on the last cruise I couldn't risk calling in on my cell phone alone! Annmarie

Sorry, David, somehow I don't think that would go over well with DCL. Besides, most of us will have our "fancy clothes" on so a food fight is definately out of the question. But, if your lucky, maybe Ian will slime you with his dinner --- just because he's a little guy. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

As for a biting contest, I can tell you, Ian would probably win. I've never seen Diana actually bite -- I'm sure it's just a vicious rumor (don't tell Diana I said that). ;)

Chris not only burned the pictures (is that the right term?) onto one DVD, he also put them into order so all of the first day pictures were together, second day was together, third day was together, fourth day was together and then post-cruise. It was for a lot of continuity while watching the slide slow.

Chris did an awesome job and we'll be lucky if his offer still stands to do it again for this cruise. :cheer2: :cheer2:
